ye S&D sounds well , but i was thinking more of an elimination mode or TD .. actually it can fit in any mode xD -

Actually, I would lean more toward escape mode as well. We honestly have not been updated with an escape map for the longest time ever now.
The portal suggestion really would spark the scene!
Anyways, yeah, I agree with you. This airport map could be set in any game mode and still make it entertaining and enjoyable. -

Good idea.
Airport could even be a good story for rival factions since Global Risks attacked ship with helicopter (if you remember trailer).
Communication tower would be nice with some ladders to get up on it.
About planting sites, plane and one hangar (with helicopter)?
One question: Can you guys make a plane moving on airstrip?
Example: Plane starts engine at start of a round and starts moving down the airstrip to the A site (where he will fly off at the end) where Black List is supposed to plant c4 and if c4 blows airplane blows too and if Global risk defuse c4 plane takes off the ground. -
So it's like Terminal? The map that no one plays? Some don't even know it exists :O Dam DAM
With a whole new outlook and planned scene of a possible Airport S&D map, I don't suppose it's popularity will fade once it's released.
Search and Destroy games are much popular than Elimination Mode games, lol. Terminal is considered unpopulared, and like to you mentioned, possibly unknown to some players, compared to any S&D map.
