We will not be listing the full information on the process, this is to maintain legitimacy and to prevent abuse. It scans the anonymous hardware information of your computer. This information is used ONLY for the verification process of making a new account. This information is not shared or distributed.
Do you keep the scanned information?
if so will this information get shared with government agency's when they ask for it?
Does software get scanned to?
How do i know for sure my privacy won't be comprimised?
When can i read the updated TOS/EULA?However in the future we will be inviting all CrossFire users to register their accounts. -
That is really sketchy.

Does that mean even registered users are forced to do this eventually? -
yeah, but what will happen to the information G4 collects?
Absolutely nothing.
It's anonymous computer information which doesn't do much for anyone. The information is stored encrypted as a key, we only can look at the key and not the information within it. But to maintain the integrity of the system and it's security I can't fully explain the process.
However I can explain that we DO NOT share any of this encrypted information with anyone. Though it would be useless to them (because it's encrypted). There should be nothing to worry about on that end. We are not selling or sharing the data, and we are not using it for personal use.
We've updated the Terms of Use to reflect this as well.Z8Games reserves the right to use virtual tools which help us decide whether to accept the creation of an account from a personal computer, cell phone or other device. This tool collects anonymous data from the computer at the time of registration and/or through the use of your account at Z8Games and verifies whether the device has been found fraudulent or has acted against our Terms of Use. By Creating an account at Z8Games and/or continuing to use your Z8Games account you authorize and agree to allow such data collection.
This data is collected for the sole purpose of combating fraud and other malicious actions against Z8Games and it's affiliates. This data will never be shared, sold or used for user identification or personal purposes. -

So the scanner generates a hash based upon the hardware used & compares it in a database? So the only thing stored is a MD5 hash?
Looks like i don't have to worry after all!
Thanks for making this happen, i am looking forward to this new countermeasure and hopefully it will work as intended! -

Well you've updated it but existing players have not accepted the terms,
Not saying I'm not accepting it because I do accept this rule as I am a legit player but I think you should make it possible to accept these terms again for some incentive (honorable soldier ii?) . Just an idea -
Good stuff, this. You'll be rewarded with more player base = more $$$ dough for ya in the end. Took you guys long enough, however. Hopefully damage done to the very hearts of legit players are not too severe. I'm callin' in the old buddies whom have moved onto other FPS games with less tolerance to hackers then ya'll in the previous years. Let the real game begin~

Great! Always love to see improvements to stop the hackers from ruining our many epic matches.
There were some months where literally EVERY SINGLE ROOM had someone using a hack of some kind. Oh my gosh, it was so bad a long time ago, but it's died down lately.
Just today I did 15 matches and didn't suspect anyone playing with hack-like abilities. That alone impressed me because it's a change from what I was used to. I took a break but glad I'm back in time for this new system to kick into place.
Um, one question: This new machine-based system works against the hackers even if they use Virtual Machine software like VMware player, Oracle Box or some other popular virtualization software?
And does it work if they are using new randomly-generated virtual "hardware" to make it seem like they are making new accounts on a different machine but, at the same time, they really aren't?
And does this system work if hackers try to re-install or reconfigure their operating system with new hardware or a clean installation of Windows (new SIDs generated, etc)?
I hope all this was included when the system was put in place, because those hackers are willing to try everything to ruin our gameplay experience -

I dont mean to sound like a jerk here but to say it simply if any one of those ways works you have now released upon the forum, which, if you didnt know, hackers can still read. -
Finaly Some good News.
Well its a good idea but incomplete, I have sent several tickets reporting hackers and asking for a pc ban, because is the only way to go.Now preventing new hackers, creating accounts is good but they should also get pc ban so they couldnt play in the same pc, thats the only way that kids wil learn, they would think twice before downloading hacks. And you could do some deal with microsoft because there would be lots of kids buying a new pc ahahahhaha . But thanks anyway Z8 for at least show some work concerning hackers. -
I'm just wondering...why can't you scan all the currently existing accounts? So if they hack, they get banned and can't make any more accounts on their computer? Why must we re-register in the future? Don't you guys have the power to do the scan yourselves on existing accounts without our consent?
