LAN -Arc
Woke up at 6am with mini, got our sht ready to go. Walked/ran to the train station to make sure we caught it on time. Took the train to union, some creepy guy asks us if were from around here, we ignore him. Ask a worker how to get to the hotel and begin our walk there. Run into the creepy guy AGAIN, ignore him again and make our way to the radisson.
Finally arrive at the hotel at around 10 or so. We find Henry and go looking for Dallan in his hotel room. Mini pounds on the door and runs away but no one answers. We find out that was the wrong room (oops) and go to Dallans actual room. Meet him and is buddys there, we get out LTD sweaters #swag and go back down to the LAN room. Wait around until we find Razzle dazzle with his rents coming to support the gang.
Decide to walk around outside and go to subway where we got some food and had the worker take a team pic. Go back, meet all the guys there, some that I've known online for a while which was neat. Wait 13 hours (slight exaggeration) to begin our first match against Escapeartists. I got a 3k spray first round and from there on it was pretty smooth, we ended up beating them 8-0. Props to them for playing last minute with random peoples equipment.
Our next match was against LL on the "stage". We got ripped pretty bad but it was one of the funnest parts because every time we won a round the crowd went crazy
Dropped to losers and went up against SNSD. We won first half of sub base 7-3 I believe. Then second half we were up something like 3-1 and they came back and made it 3-6. I was about to cry because If we went to OT we would have zero momentum. We ended up beating them 4-6 and moving onto the next round.
I feel we should have done WAY better against sprayops, we played awful, missed all our shots and it just wasn't good. We lost like 7-6 first half and I don't even remember second half score. GG to them for coming up big and taking us out they're a bunch of real cool guys (love you ayce
). I was disappointed but overall I was happy with the way we played considering we hardly ever played including not playing at all the week before lan. When we did it was on BW or port which we NEVER played at LAN. So kinda got screwed over playin rando maps we had no prep on at all.
I had a really great time there meeting everyone and playing matches on a good computer for once haha. Hopefully there are more to come and I'm able to make it to those as well. Thanks to everyone who made it happen. JPurvis and Saidin were nice guys and did a pretty good job making it run as smooth as they could.
