Possible to add Motion Blur/Bloom/Etc?
I've got a question to ask towards CF/Z8 in general.
I'm pretty sure i'm not the only one that would like this, but for those Higher end computers, would it at all be possible to add more effects? Such as Shadows, Motion Blur, Color Correction, Bloom, and fancy effects like that? I've seen some free games with these options and it looks FANTASTIC!
The over all quality/detail of the game seems to improve.
I'm only asking this because I've been playing CF for quite a long time, and don't get me wrong, the graphics and game play are amazing.
After years of seeing the graphics, It's would kinda be nice to see a change.
for example: Motion blur would give a smoother feel to turning, instead of the sharp turns, which I find weird to be in the game apart from others.
Bloom, would help out a little bit on Sharp corners towards the edges of the screens, perhaps producing a better quality view.
I could give some examples on why these visual edits could be good, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has thought about something like this
Would be nice to hear the Communities view on this as well.
(also not sure if I posted this in the correct section)
Thanks

I'm not saying this is a bad idea, i'm just saying i wouldnt want to see it eaither. I guess it would add a nice effect, but the preformance on slower computers just keep deteriorating with every patch that has new effects.
They also will not add a disable button on the effect eaither, here are a few examples of this:
The new death animaions.
The new weapon stances.
The new blood effect in zombie mode/possibly other modes too.
The usless flashing boxing around weapons when the correct weapon is not equipped.
The new zombie mode explosions.
I am sure there is plenty of more usless effects they have added without a disable button. -
Shadows are currently available in the game in a very crude form.
Depending on your graphics drivers you can force the game to have anti-aliasing but that's about all you can do without the game changing itself.
Don't expect much, the engine is incredibly old and outdated tech wise. We've got some static reflections on weapons and some particle effects but I'm not entirely sure how much they can push out the engine without killing the performance. -
I think they should look towards improving the game, rather than considering those who have $100 PCs. That's how you get a bigger audience in my opinion anyways.
+1, but with an option to disable the effects.
You mean $1000 ??? Anyway, it wouldn't do any harm if it was available for those who have really good computers. But there should be an option to turn them off !!!
