A Ghost mode Tournament
I'm currently talking with my friends and LT's about a prospective Ghost Mode tournament. Now, before you talk about this being another pub league etc...
This is a mere support thread. If we can garner enough support I will begin the massive undertaking for a 50+ team double elimination tournament. And of course I'll need some help.
Should this go underway:
We will be using our clan website and forums to set up matches along with xfire, ventrilo, mumble, and anything else we need.
Growler/some form of recording will be required by everyone at all times, not only that, but each growler will have to be uploaded. At the end of each scheduled week, myself and the rest of the designated heads will check for every growler. replays will also be required for every match by at least one member of each team.
Now I have to catch a plane for panama. I'll talk more about this later.
Rules and such can be discussed, how things work can be discussed later.
Just post a simple yes or no for support. 50 posts for a yes (by seperate people/clans) and i'll start working on setting this up.

Got a little time while i'm at the airport to think out a bit more.
@Ghost this wouldn't be something to set up in a day or two and have a go...god no.
However, people want a ghost mode tourney which will inevitably be fulfilled by z8 at some point in the future. Whats in my head is a bit different, havn't had the time myself to collect all my thoughts on how its going to go while I said something like a double elimination tournament thats not quite what I have in mind. Give me a little time to think on it. It's going to be more of a round robin/double round robin with points for win's/losses/ties. Plenty of time to set up matches and complete them, thorough review's of all disputed matches/players. (Who's to review is a good question, was thinking along the lines of a panel of willing ghost mode leaders who's judgement will be trusted).
Anyways, all I'm looking for is support for something like this. Yes z8 will have its own tourney eventually which will reward people (unlike this one the first go around). If this went up before a tourney, should a z8 tourney appear obviously it would take precedence (You win prizes from them
) and stuff would be postponed or given more leeway.
Either post: 1) I'd support this sort of thing.

Which clan, for those of you who scrim GM a lot, would you say has the best ghosts, but are short of an 8th one? I rly want to join a ghost clan, and can prove myself if needed. I've managed 2 tiny clans made mostly for talkin to 1 or 2 friends who now no longer play or barely play, and I want to get in a clan with others who hop like second nature.

Gonna close this one down as there is already a thread with many pages open about a potential GM tournament.
We've said that we would like to do more tournaments in the future and this also includes different modes. However we have not announced a concrete schedule yet for when those tournaments might be coming.
Due to needing time to plan things and the holidays it is unlikely that any official tournament will be held before the end of the year. But I wouldn't be surprised to see something very early in the new year!
