Bunch of people use fake id to go to club in Ottawa every night lol.... nothing special , usual stuff...
Downtown Toronto specifically checks rather hard against ID's because of the university's that are right by the core of the city (Ryerson/UoT). Your best bet would be to not go near anything close to the hotel.
Not that you should be using legal ID's, but all the same
