Luis's ZM guide (for Crater only)
Okay, so ever since I started playing CF, I've beaten zombie mode many, many times. So many, in fact, that I now know a few tips that could be helpful to you guys. So here you go:
Part 1: Preparation
You're going to want to find a good team to play with (clanmates, cf friends, etc.), body armor is optional, but recommended. The best guns to use in my opinion are:
1. The m1216 or the Ksg-15.
2. Powerful SMG's like the m12s or the Thompson.
3. MG's are good, but they WILL slow you down and that means you need to be good at dodging.
4. If you have none of those guns, fast reloading rifles will also work pretty well (I.E. M14ebr, XM8, etc.)
If you have any, hypomeds are also very useful.
Remember that if one of your teammates dies, you can take his or her gun for your own advantage.
Part 2: Waves 1-20
Wave 1-3: These don't even need a description. Just 10 regular wimpy zombies that should be incredibly easy to kill.
Wave 4: It is the same as the first 3 but there are also 5 Hunters that might surprise you if you're new.
Wave 5: 4 Scorchers and a Mutant Tyrant. I know this is only wave 5, but I see many people losing plenty of HP's during this wave because they are not well prepared. Just lure the scorchers up the bus and kill them, then wait for the tyrant to spawn and take care of him.
Waves 6-9: All of these waves are easy, just some Hunters and Dreads. Just repeat the step from wave 5 and you'll be good.
Wave 10: This is where mutants start coming in. I find these to be the most annoying, as it is hard to dodge them when they start running really fast.
Waves 11-12: A little mix of zombies, but overall really easy.
Wave 13: 15 Dreads, also really easy. just be aware that they spawn higher up
Waves 14-16: These waves are easy for the most part, but be careful when dealing with mutants, If you don't pay attention, you could lose some valuable HP's
Waves 17 and 19: Here comes the tricky part. Make sure your teammates know where to go beforehand. Just stand right where the Dreads spawned in wave 13 and you will be good to go. It is best if 1 of your teammates has a MG. Also, be careful not to get too close to the Crawlers, they deal 10 damage per shot, and these little scumbags are what ends up killing many new players.
Wave 18 is exactly the same as 14 but with a few Crawlers
Wave 20: 49 Zombies and Hunters, and 1 Mini boss. The first are easy, but be careful not to get hit by the Warmonger. It deals about 20 damage unless you have armor on, so make sure to keep your distance.
Part 3: Waves 21-30
Wave 21: Do not be fooled by the Dreads at the beginning. After about 20 seconds into the wave, 5 Scorchers and 5 mutants spawn behind the bus, so make sure not to chase the Dreads at the beginning.
Wave 22: Probably the most confusing wave to any new player. There are about 35 Ghosts and 5 Crawlers. Make sure to use your minimap to see where the Ghosts are. Aside from the fact that they're barely visible, Ghosts are a piece of cake.
Wave 23: 10 Scorchers will seem easy at first. but watch for all the Seekers that spawn in this wave.
Wave 24: this is a big mix of Zombies, about 30 in total. You and your teammates have to stick together to be able to handle all this.
Wave 25: The gorillas. I find these to be the easiest to kill because they're just so slow. Be careful if you're using the top turret though, as 4 will spawn right behind it.
Waves 26-28: These 3 waves are the hardest part of this mode. Make sure to have lots of ammo and always watch for crawlers behind you. Never go away from the group or you WILL die. Also watch for all the seekers because they spawn behind you, a lot. I really can't give much advice for these waves other than you better know how to dodge the Zombies' attacks.
Wave 29: 50 Gorillas. It's a lot easier than it seems. If all 4 of you are still alive at this point, just have 2 use the turrets and the other 2 gun down the weakened gorillas.
Wave 30: Stay where you are! Don't jump down to reload immediately because a LOT of zombies and hunters will spawn at the very beginning. Don't even bother in killing them, they will not give you any points and they will respawn. When the boss comes out, rush him, use your adrenaline and then slash his face as much as you can! this will deal a lot of damage to him. Be careful not to get trapped between small zombies while doing this though. After you do that, just have all the teammates run around him and shooting him. Be careful with his missiles; when they're aimed at you, switch to your melee and start bhopping away (or just jump if you can't bhop). The boss might seem like it has a lot of health, but just keep shooting him and he will eventually eat so much lead he will die.
I really hope this helps you plan a strategy and I'm sorry if it's a dumb guide but I will be editing it often to add more to it. Also I don't know how to use BB code so yeah.....
