Small but effective addition to cf
I think in crossfire they should add some more sounds to the game. I was playing some counter strike source and I realized that the small sound effects (birds chirping, little mechanical nosies, etc) really made the game feel more "alive". I think Crossfire is lacking that feel of sound or something. What do you guys think?
EDIT: Speculate had a good idea of a disable button in-case of a important scrim you wouldn't have the distracting noises like chickens hahaha. Also I don't think adding sounds to maps would be too difficult so it wouldn't be as much work as lets say making a whole new map.

I guess there are a few sounds that they could add when mechanical events are happening. But if they were to add sounds such as birds chirping they would need a disable button. Competitive players I beleive would not like to hear that in the middle of scrims etc.
Good idea though. -

Should be top priority on their list. -

There are background music in one TDM map for a while. They finally removed it. Technically they can do that, but it seems not preferred by players. -

+1. The hotel in EE lacks some moaning -

They removed the MM bgm on Cairo?
When you check the cf files, there are sounds made for several places in laboratory, but I don't know why they don't use it, it would be interesting (and make it easier for BL). But yeah, small details like this would be cool. -

Many players are using ears to play too. I agree to you, I'd rather remove the steps of my teammates than to remove the backgroud sound. Steps from my teammates makes nervious (because the would push me or block my view), and confuse my judgement if enemy has come.
I just seldom play GM, but I think the background noise is less helpful than GR's step for the Ghosts. -
Pretty good idea +1!

Its in century gothic. Ikr, I love it too xD
Thanks for all the positive feedback! We all love distracting chicken noises while in a competitive scrim to brighten things up LOL. Also whoever said to add a disable feature to it, +1 -

+1 for chicken. Always loved killing the chicken. Good old times... -
People would spam the hell out of that x)
I know. It's just that some noobs spam messages anyway, so I'd like to have that message to tell them to be silent. It's just a dream xD.
On your original idea:
I'd like to get some more sounds. I play HM mostly anyway, so it wouldn't bother me too much.
best regards,
Urkel
