    the best one
  • Don't waste money buying a gaming keyboard, there isn't much advantage or anything it just gives a better feeling and sometimes it doesn't even feel better.

Before i got sponsored by Frost Gaming, I was playing with a $2 staples mic,10 dollar keyboard, iPod ear buds and a random 10 dollar mouse. Just make sure you have to get your game sense and aim along with skill than all the expensive products and gaming "items" are to simply refine that skill. Bottom line don't waste unnecessary money on a keyboard/gaming products hoping for an advantage.
  • ^ I use to play with a sony vaio laptop, 5 dollar mouse, laptop mic, laptop speakers, no mouse pad.

Now I play with the same thing except a 15 dollar mouse, 20 dollar headset, and a mouse pad :D and I'm still bad!!!
  • IMO (but I don't know much about hardware) the biggest thing to look for is a keyboard that doesn't ghost (aka doesn't limit the amount of keys it can register at the same time). My current one is incapable of walking to the left and holding TAB at the same time, something which annoys the **** outa me sometimes.

Please. Sir. Dont curse in the forums please.
  • nah not worth it, all you need is a mouse and mouse pad, a decent headset helps, i use a laptop, i dont think a gaming keyboard would make a difference
  • I use a Steelseries Merc Stealth keyboard, i love it<3

That may be true for a keyboard but a good mouse and computer changes a lot.
  • Just make sure if you buy a mechanical keyboard don't buy one with blue or brown switches, due to the nature of double tapping on those switches it wont be good for FPS playing.

    Hello!

I've seen people commenting that you shouldn't invest a lot of money on Gaming gear in hope for advantages.

    That's totally wrong.

Bad gears limits your gameplay. People say that it doesn't make you better?
Over time, it actually do. Gamesense? You have to grow it, be born with it, or something. Someone are born "dumb", which causes bad game sense.

I'm not sure, I can recommend some keyboards that doesn't limit you for changes and with good quality. This is all by experience.

    Logitech Gaming Keyboard G510

    CM Storm Trigger Gaming Keyboard

If you want to invest a lot of cash, you could go for the:

Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E.7 keyboard - Nordic
    761405.jpg

Looks good, and unlimited of customization.

Don't spend you cash on 10$ trash.

Also, if when you take ur choice, buy mechanical keyboards. They're a lot better, quality +++

    Not for this game
  • If you use your computer at night and like playing games with the light off, I would suggest a keyboard with backlit. Also, anti-ghosting keyboard is a must IMHO. I have the blackwidow, I've had many razer and SS keyboard but this one is by far my favorite.

    Try playing with 30 fps.
  • A computer that can run crossfire at 200+ fps constantly plus a gaming mouse can make all the difference in the world.

I have the Logitech G510 and I LOVE it!

But try looking for a mechanical keyboard. The Razer Blackwidow is good too

Implying you play with 30 fps?
  • I'm currently using my CM Storm Quickfire pro and my bhop became a LOT easier. Yes a mouse and headset is more important in CF and the keyboard would be the last peripheral you need to enhance your game.

And yes some may argue that if you have raw talent and skills, such things are not necessary to become better. That is true and these things are just nice to haves. But none the less, you will require less effort for your movement either way.

Get mechanical keyboards, either cherry red/brown/black. Do not get blues for gaming. Reds for fast double tapping and dedicated gaming keys not for typing. Browns are in between gaming and typing. Blacks are best if you don't mind putting more weight to actuate.

However, reds/blacks are linear and not everyone likes that feeling. I'd advise going for the browns (tactile) as your first keyboard before deciding if you really want a linear nature, and that's what I did as well.

DO Research on all of the switch types before you make your decision.
When you decide which brand to buy, do not ever get Razer Keyboards their build quality is crap. Unless you want macros that you're never going to use. Look up on CM Storm, Tt eSports, DAS keyboards, Corsair Vengeance (Beware it's not fully mechanical, but has rubberized WASD keys), Steelseries, Logitech, etc.

    Good Luck.

Blues have nearly the same force curve as browns. The difference is mainly in the clicking sound.

Unless you want media hotkeys and the like, you get the most for your money with a rebranded OEM keyboards.

Rosewill has quite a few for ~60-80 bucks with cherry switches and nkro.

I play with 40 now and played with 30 in wcg usa qualifiers

  • I'm using my CM Storm Quickfire TK and it is an amazing keyboard. I find that the blue switches are pretty good for gaming even though people with no experience with these blues say that they're bad for gaming.
