Some new game modes? :D
Like the title says, here's a few ideas of mine for new game modes.
1.) Capture The Flag
In case you don't know what CTF is (which I find hard to imagine, but not impossible), the goal is to grab the enemy team's flag and carry it back to your base (capturing it) while preventing the enemy team from doing the same. The team with the most captures at the end of the round wins.
I think this would fit into CrossFire's gameplay style perfectly. Obviously a bit of basic teamwork is required because someone needs to defend and someone needs to go capture the enemy flag. It definitely opens up a little role-playing, too (Machine Gunners defend, SMG users rush the enemy base, snipers take out the other team's defenders, etc.).
2.) Assault
In this game mode, each team has a "base" (for example, a piece of machinery) that is vulnerable to enemy fire. The goal here is to destroy the enemy team's base by shooting it. Obviously the bases would have a lot of HP, so they would take an effort to bring down. Depending on how the map is designed, the bases might need to be grenade-proofed to prevent easy victories from excessive grenade spam.
3.) Checkpoint
This mode would probably require medium to large sized maps. In Checkpoint, there are specific areas scattered around the map (called... uhm... Checkpoints) that each team must try to capture. Staying near a Checkpoint long enough will capture it for your team. As long as your team owns a checkpoint, it will generate points for your team. The first team to reach a certain number of points wins.
4.)Arena (I can't think of a better title.)
In Arena, the game rules are the same as Team Deathmatch, but with one big fat difference: The player starts with only an M1911 pistol and their knife. Players must find other weapons that are scattered all over the arena to arm themselves with. Like in TD, the first team to reach a certain number of kills wins.
Just to be clear, the weapons aren't neatly organized on the floor so you can pick one as soon as the match starts like in Elimation Mode. What I mean is you can find an AWM in a sniper tower, a SPAS-12 in a hallway, an AK-47 in the middle of the map, and so on. Also, weapons reappear on the ground 30-60 seconds after being picked up so other players can grab it too (if they're good enough to reach it. )
Comments? Criticisms? Questions?
PS: I think that Reese's Cups are awesome.

Those suggestions already have an official response from Z8. Take a look at the stickied thread called "Common suggestions, questions, and answers" by [GM]FallenAngel.

“Game Modes
-The following have all been suggested repeatedly and don't need additional topics:
Capture the Flag with infinite variations (1/2 flags etc)
Protect the Target Individual
Kill the Target with infinite variations
Base Victory / Map Domination
King of the Hill / Area Defense
Snipers Ahoy (Not under consideration currently)
Hostage(s)
Historical Events (None are being considered)”
Personally, I think the Z8 and the developers should focus on expanding the modes that we already have (Escape Mode especially), because that's what sets this first person shooter game apart from all the others. -

This pretty much captures most of what I have to say. I would like the debs to "consider" a little faster (it's been years). -
