nProtect Game Monitor has stopped working???

I get the following message after attempting to start CrossFire: "nProtect Game Monitor Rev 1315 has stopped working." My brother said he could still play it before installing some stuff from HP Update. But however, after installing those stuff, then this problem appeared. I don't know if this is the problem that caused it. I'm currently using window vista. I can still play crossfire in another computer with vista. I tried to uninstall it with Your Uninstaller 2008, restart computer, turn off antivirus, but none of them actually worked. So if anyone know the solution, please post it as soon as possible.

Short answer: Uninstall KIS ( Kaspersky Internet Security) or KAS or whatever it is on ur computer. Then, the game's gonna work for sure! Turning it off wont work!
They should fix this fast, alot of people got into this trouble since this morning and I'm one of them!. I don't want to uninstall my KIS, it's so dangerous. So Z8games should fix this fast plz.

Yep, I played fine less that 24 hours ago. I get the same message. Turning off Kaspersky does not fix it and there is no way in hell I delete the anti-virus.

I haven't had a chance to test this yet, as i dont have my desktop with me (i moved with the boards, im getting stuff setup!), however if kas is currently causing the game to not boot then i suggesting sending off some support messages to them. If their software is blocking crossfire, then the best way to troubleshoot this is to ask them !

Otherwise, as another user said you can always uninstall the software.

And don't get the wrong idea, we will look into workarounds for this, but your best bet at the moment is to ask the software creator.

Hummmm, KIS is not blocking the game. It's just by somehow conflicting with Game Guard since this morning. I tried to uninstall game, download the fresh one on website then reinstall it, still wont work. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the KIS too, it wont work either. And of course, Game Guard is in trusted zone either every CF stuff. The only way to get in the game normally like before is completely uninstall KIS!( There's no way I'm gonna do this!)
And I totally can log in the game, but I can't join room. If I log in game and stay there at channel whatever, I can chat for a few minutes then the game will be crashed out. If i join room, it will be stuck at "Connecting to game room..." forever.

wow, ive had the same problem since august 25th, and i've gone through so much trouble trying to fix this... i've taken my computer into best buy 3 times! ..just hoping they'd fix it for me. they charged me 30 bucks to try to fix it and im getting it back tuesday, but im worried they wont fix it..this problem sucks..

is there a more reasonable way to fix this solution other than turning off my anti-virus? and Z8games are you working on fixing this problem b/c it hasn't gone away...

you're right I try & join a room at times I get a mssg saying joining & then gets stuck ..when I finally enter a room & press ready I get ejected from the room, ..There are a lot of problems logging on too takes forever to log on & after all that if you can't join the room, well.....I'd like to meet the creators /software guys in person.&........

guys i tried contacting the people who owns gameguard they didnt help one bit and whats weird is what is in my crossfire gameguard that is so differnt from my other gamegaurd folders ??? ima take a guess that it something about erl files in the gameguard folder cause when i contact the gameguard people they wanted to me to send the erl files to them

Please terminate temporarily all processes (programs) in task manager that was not related with game playing. And please follow up the instructions as below.
1) Please scan all your PC Hard Disk Drive with Anti-Virus Vaccine & Anti-Spy ware Tool that should be update at the latest version. If you do not have the Anti-Virus or Anti-Spy ware, please download it as following site.
- Anti-Virus: If you have not any vaccine programs, please scan with AVG or AVAST as free version.

2) Please download and install security patch for windows in order to prevent from malignant code infected.
- Security Patch : Windows Update
Please try to run game after deleting GameGuard folder that was located in Game Installation folder.
If the error occur continuously, please send us fresh erl files to game2@inca.co.kr

nProtect Hacking ect Protection

The games first screen loads- the one with announcements ect- and i click start game... the hacking nProtect banner pops up- the one with a dude holding a gun and firing and hacking provention- and after 1 or 2 minutes it dosnt change and then it dissapears, a new pop up- BLANK with a OK check box and a internet pops up-http://www.gameguard.co.kr/gameguard/faq/eng/FAQ_3xx.htm - i did every thing that it says and nothing helped... arghh ive reboted, re installed ect. (i only installed this game this morning- before the update- and once i had got to the traning thing the game exited- for matinence- since then the game hasnt worked) done ani1 hav ani help???
