Badge increase when gun stolen

I don't know if this was suggested already but, you know when you have a fancy gun, and when you die, your smileyface rank teammates will use it, you're kind of upset, because it only benefits them. Well I was thinking, why not add this option to the game, if the gun is stolen, then it will increase your badge and benefit you as well :D

What do you think?

  • In that situation, how many kills will count toward a certain badge? Will it depend on which gun you steal? Say, an m4 will give you rifle kills?

Yeah, if it's your M4, and your teammate picks it up and uses it, and kills someone, since he can't add to his badge kills, it would direct to your own rifle kills.
  • Why do you care about other people picking up your gun? It's not like you lose anything, you're dead anyway. People who whine about it are just stupid, the G button is there for a reason.

This is the point, if they pick your gun, it should benefit you in a way as well.

Don't get why someone stealing your gun would matter, but it's perfectly fine. I don't think any reward should be given to you when you someone steals your gun.

Why should it benefit you? Nothing even happens to you if someone else uses your gun... It doesn't break if that's what you're afraid of. You earn badges by your own skill, not someone else.

    So.

What do you mean he can't add to his badge kills? Guns you pick up gives you kills towards badges as well as your own guns.
  • Who cares.A gun is a gun. If you don't want people picking up your gun. Don't die. Honestly.
  • Team mates pick up your guns, and now ?

Isnt it good if they can kill easier with your gun, dont you want your team to win the match ?
  • I really don't like this idea, because of badge booster anyway... I mean if you're playing Egypt, and someone picks up your gun and gets 20+ kills with it, then dies, you get a free 20 kills towards your badge..

Mixed opinions on this, but for the strong reason, above -1.

Also it's a gun on a virtual game, why are you getting upset over some else using it? Sharing is Caring.

Im not saying I am, some people spam things like "NOOB DONT PICK UP MY GUN", but this is a discussion, so all opinions welcome

I guess you are one of those who spams that.
  • A GUN is a GUN. Who CARES. If your dead. YOUR DEAD. ffs.

Well, I guess you're one of those people, it's a gun, get over it.

    Exactly this. ^
  • Nah. Everyone would just be picking up and dropping weapons all the time to earn toward their badge.

And rifle kills should only be attained by actually killing someone with a rifle.

But you're the one that died on the battlefield?

The solution to you wanting something out of your weapon just because someone used it when you died is to just not die.

The game tracks weapon types and types of kills when you get one. But it does not differentiate between a gun you picked up or one you used.

Also, what if you're playing SnD and you needed 1 more victory to secure the match win. And you died and your team mate was out of ammo. You would rather them run around with a knife than pick up the weapon you lost cause you charged in so quickly and died to a sniper?

I personally don't understand why people have a problem with picking up weapons from the ground. Yes it can test your patience when you roll into a pub and the 6 guys on your team do nothing but beg you to use the M4A1-Tiger you're currently equipping. But they can use it when they pry it from my cold dead hands. Literally ha!

Suggestion is noted, but due to technical reasons it's likely not going to be implemented.

Guys how about when these smiley ranks follow you around trying to get your gun and end up getting you killed...

What did I just tell you mang, Im not, if you think it's bad, okay, and as Saidin said, it won't be implemented anyways so yeah

Hahaha, it often happens that I charge too quickly and 5 seconds later, a sniper kills me.

But I guess you have a point there, lend them a gun rather than let them die running around with a knife. :D

No, he said "Suggestion is noted, but due to technical reasons it's likely not going to be implemented." thus meaning there is a slim chance of it being implemented.

Crying over a gun in virtual game can be a little stupid, I don't mean any offense or anything.

But I'm guessing there is a way of this being abused, such as swapping guns at start of match, you getting a kill, counting towards your badge, and there's. Visa Versa.

I don't even have guns to cry on. Only ones I have are M4-Silver, AK-Silver and M4 Custom Crystal, but I never use them, because I don't like silenced guns, and I just dislike the AK, don't ask me why haha. <.<

Yeah I can see what you mean, like you have a hacker friend, and you trade him your AWM, and he headshots everyone and you get free sniper kills + headshots for the A grade badges, it really is a bad suggestion haha, but thanks for everyone's opinion :D

So basically what you are saying is, you want to get rewarded for dying, just because people pick up your weapon that you dropped?

    NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!

What kind of idiot complains about someone picking up a rifle that they CAN'T use anyway? Sure, in TDM it can get a bit annoying when suddenly your side starts losing because everyone on it is picking up your VSK-94 or PSG-1 RD after you die, and doesn't have the skill to use it properly. But hey, it sucks...that's life...get over it.
  • I never understood why people care if their guns get stolen i mean what use is it to you when your dead. I understand if you were trading guns at game start and someone steals it but not when you die.

I don't get why they call it stealing in the first place. It's not like you'll lose it after they take it off your corpse. You'll spawn with it again the very next round. The rifle doesn't even take damage from being used by someone else. It's just stupid all around to fuzz over something like that.
  • Why should you earn points for what someone else did, if you want points toward your badges then you should put in the work, not let other people do it for you.
