3 suggestions
But I didn't feel like making three threads, so here we go.
Suggestion #1: Don't remove Honorable Soldier ribbon for chargeback, harassment, and other reasons not related to hacking.
Why? There are several reasons, but here's the simplified version:
1) False positives: it's annoying when a person loses their ribbon to chargebacks, but is now labeled as a hacker.
2) Conversely, it's annoying when people without their ribbon claim to have lost it to chargebacks, when the truth is they got banned for cheating.
Instead, there should be two separate ribbons that could be lost for cheating and chargebacks, respectively.
Suggestion #2: Former IGNs
On a player's profile page, have a little arrow next to their name. Clicking on the arrow displays a dropdown list of the person's previous IGNs. Hovering over an old IGN displays the range of dates over which it was used.
Suggestion #3: xtrapbanned.com
Similar to vacbanned.com. I think that the community could benefit from some more transparency from Z8.

1. Really hard to tell who hacks and who doesn't with no clear way of checking for past hacking history. +1.
2. +1. Not much else needs to be said.
3. I personally don't think it's needed.
there could always be the ultimate cheating hat you can get permanently and cant take off.

People that fall victim to charge-back can have their HS ribbon restored once the problem with their purchase has been resolved. As for harassment. I don't see how we should give trolls any favors over hackers. Both are equally unwanted in this game in my opinion.

I have been forum banned on my main account, which takes away my honorable soldier ribbon.
Never cheated or hacked though. Looks bad :P -

Never cheated or hacked though. Looks bad :PForum bans don't affect your ribbons unless your violation was so severe, that they gave you a ingame ban as well. Which brings me back to Trolls being no better than Hackers.

I think most people don't really care if trolls are not worse than hackers. We the players just want to know who's hacked and who hasn't. -

I've never seen a group of people and or company more worried about trolls then the an actual problem like hackers.

Trolls are no different from hackers in the sense that they both are willing to ruin someone else's fun for the game for their own. In my opinion it doesn't matter if you use what the game gives you, or use a third party source. You are still ruining the fun for the game for someone else. And if a game stops being fun, people will stop playing it for whatever reason the game stopped being fun for them.
A good example of typical trolling that is currently destroying the game is the massive amount of kick-vote abuse. And it's a given fact that players are complaining just as much about kick-vote abusers as they are about hackers. -
Most people still dislike hackers more than trolls. You can make your own thread with a public opinion poll about it if you really want to know.
What can a troll do in a clan war? Talk smack? Public chat blocked, troll ignored, problem solved. Hackers are keeping people away from the game more than trolls.
If you think that trolls are worse than hackers, then fine. That still doesn't change the problems with the HS ribbon that I stated in the OP. -
My suggestion!
Hello and Good Morning from good old Germany to you all!
1.) CF need a Anti-Hack Shield that works like the Anti-Hack Shield from CSS, Hacker get there automatically banned from the Server after 20 - 25 Secounds! No joke!
2.) If CF have a good Anti-Hack Shield you can remove the Kick Vote System from the Game! Noone need than a Kick Vote System because noone can Hack. Insulting or Swearing or a Player who Lagg for me is not a reason to throw them out of the room with a Kick Vote because 80 % of the Player from CF lagg and have a Ping over 100!
3.) Z8Games, i have a Idea, why you not create a CF Clan you can only Apply if you have never been hacked in Game for last 2 Years and it has to do with a new Ribbon. I mean LIKE the ''Which Site are you on Ribbon''. Than you ''Apply'' to this CF Clan, become the ''Never been Hacked Ribbon'' and then you go to the Clan that you like to play where your friends are.
You Understand? Just as the ''Which side you are on Ribbon''! Than see everybody who is Hacker and who have not Hack in the Game on the Player Profile!
If you follow my ideas and change these Things, that here is my idea for a modernized Honorable Soldier Ribbon:

1. That suggestion's never been thought of, has it? It's obvious that we're in need of hack patches, but ending a contract with XTrap isn't as easy as you think.

Then it is the players fault for either trying to trade/sell accounts or sharing accounts, well he could of downloaded a cheat too, which could of been backdoored so it is still his fault.
+1 to all 3 idea's. I love the xtrapbanned.com idea.
