Make it cost like 5K GP so you have to spend a lot to get it and it would still be quite rare.

add a option: "Your sex" in the profile of the game.
When you're choose a "man" - you can't purchase a female characters. And if you choose a "female" - you can't purchase a male characters.
At first, we must know, who is who in the game. At second, it's a terribly ridiculous, when many man in the game dressed as women. it's wonder if they dress like woman and in real life?

No one needs to know what gender you are if you don't feel like sharing. And it's also complete BS that you want to force people to pick a game character to YOUR liking, rather than to their own.
Deal with your insecurity issues on your own time, and don't bring it into the game or onto the forum. -
