Mbps/ping

I will be picking an internet company soon and was wondering what kind of speed(Mbps) of the internet would I need to run under 60 ingame status. I obviously don't understand how this all works. I would happy if someones explained. please post your internet speed and the status or ping that it gives you. Thank you

  • Internet speed and transfer rate are two different things.
Speed is mostly how close you are and how many relays are between you and the target.
Transfer rate is how much info you can send/receive a second.

More Mbs won't affect ping at all, to little tho can raise it.
To lower ping you need to move closer or get a more direct line to the server.

A better computer will raise FPS.

But to lower ping you need a more direct route to the servers or be closer to them.
Ping raises with every router/switch it connects to on its way, the larger the distance the more routers/switches that are needed cover the distance.

To lower you ping you need to either move closer to the servers or get a more direct line connection. Both are not cheap options.
