Looking for a new Headset

I recently just broke my Razer Carcharias headset due to my own fault. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153043

They worked great for over a year with no problems but I am looking for more.

I was looking at the Astro A50 or the A40. http://gaming-headsets-review.toptenreviews.com/astro-a40-review.html

Money isnt an issue, so if you have any suggestions, let me know.

I use Logitech G35 it's really durable and comfortable you even have other paddings to go on your head for your comfort.

Steel Series v2 Siberia Frost Blue.

I absolutely love this headset. The glowing blue on the headset is really cool, and when you download the software for it, you can change the pulse. There is also an option for when there are higher noises, it increases glow. You can also change equalizer settings. Also has a mic you can slide in and out of the little hole. I wish it had a voice changer option, but overall it is pretty damn sweet.

Personally I use some good ol' BBC Metropolitan Vickers 4000 Ohm Headphones. They have a durable steel body, comfortable rubber pads, and threaded cables. The only downside is that you first have to do a little bit of wiring to get it into your computer's tight little 1/8" input

Frost blue siberia's for it's aesthetics and good reputation, will be getting these if I don't want to pay a lot for the A40's.

Astro A40 have been known as the "best headset" for it's price.

Corsair vengeance 1500 (or 1300/2000) planning to buy these as a backup after I buy a main headset.


When it comes down to it, it's up to you. All headsets will be good for crossfire and probably any other game.

I use to be really good at Ghost Mode back like 2 years ago. I used my Beats Pros for Ghost mode due to it picking up ghost breath with ease. They werent good with surround sound and everytime a nade went off, my ears would bleed.

The A40 is wired but I do like the A50 which is wireless.

I know someone who got the Astro A40s for Christmas and the microphone already stopped working on it. Doesn't necessarily mean just because one particular one quit others would, but it would definitely have me questioning whether I want to spend that kind of money on something that may or may not last.

...And why on Earth would ANYONE want some wireless garbage? That is just silly.

I know its pricey for you and such but ive had this headset for almost 2 years now, ive done everything to it and it still hasnt broken, probably the best headset ive ever had and ever will have. I wouldnt recommend it for just crossfire though its great for business calls on the internet and for gaming in general. The mic is amazing as well.
