Discrete Hack Patches
Rather than announcing to the world that there will be a maintenance with no content included, they should keep the patches discrete so more players will get banned from the auto-detection system.
I know for a fact hackers have their eye on the Facebook page and the Z8Games website for patches so they don't get their account banned.

Whether they see X-Trap patching, whether they see some patches coming up or not, it will still prevent them from coming into the game with a hack tool.
They can always make new accounts, so that shouldn't be a problem for them tbh, the main thing is to keep them out of the game, and this kind of thing fulfills its purpose in all ways.
Thanks for your request though! -
Not possible to make it discrete.
X-trap is the main anti-cheat and when ever it updates the hack makers know right away since it needs to send a update to all the clients. And since it is on the client they have access to it and can quickly figure out what has changed and adjust their hacks accordingly.
For a server change to activate, the servers need to be restarted and this would alert the hack makers when it happens because they lose connection to the servers. -
I don't see how laughing at someones suggestion is polite, actually is quite upsetting.
I'm not talking about the creators of the hacks, I'm talking about higher ranked users feeling confident about their hack working when they enter the game because there was no news post for the recent patch.
Sure there will be hacks that could detect if its been updated or not, but most .DLL injectors do not do this, and would get a lot of those higher ranked hackers banned.
Thanks for all the wonderful feedback. -

Good suggestion overall, but not possible overall. -

Even then, it's still better than alerting everyone through social media before a patch. Some hackers could still go through the patch, causing the number in detection bans to sky rocket, not all BR's are smart (generalization, come at me!).
The only problem I could see is alerting regular players of down-time, therefor this idea would need some clever tweaking.
