I'm probably gonna get a lot of hate for this suggestion but...

Would probably be fun, it being a unique weapon, however it doesn't seem to fit into any of the categories we have currently.
Maybe it could be categorized as a melee weapon even though it takes up the primary slot. Like how the dual double barrels are shotguns that take up the secondary slot. -

I was gonna say the same thing... maybe the Ghosts in GM could use it?
That would be f&#$ing EPIC -

There is no way the ghosts in GM would be able to use it, because if you give an invisible person a projectile it defeats the whole purpose of stealth. -

Not if the bow is weak as shwit...
OR
once you pull back the arrow on the bow you leave stealth for 5 seconds
OR
you could have the bow as a secondary and it only have 1 arrow
*Think about how hard it is to hit some noob GR running around w/ a arrow... -
This wouldn't be a CF weapon, unless it was half the power of an uzi, slower than a DSR-1, hard to aim, and maybe 2-3 arrows, and in that case nobody would want it, so z8 wouldn't profit from making this, it also doesn't fit in with the game at all, maybe Black Ops II, but CF isn't black ops.

1. A bow is a silent weapon, so very unlikely it would be a GP weapon to begin with.
2. With the way this game is currently set up, bows, or specifically, arrows as ammo isn't graphically possible within CrossFire. Arrows don't have a straight line trajectory like the bullets in CrossFire have. Also, when struck with an arrow, the arrow still sticks out of the body. -

It is actually. Made maps and models for another game that uses the same game engine and there is a crossbow as well as other projectiles in the other game. -

Well actually they can have a straight trajectory it's just a game like we have mutants.[MOD]Frecklez wrote: »Also, when struck with an arrow, the arrow still sticks out of the body.
And bullets leave bullet holes but I don't see those -

Wasn't what I meant. They don't fit with the 'style' of weapons we currently have. -

yeah how awkward would it be if someone was running around with an arrow stuck from their body? -

This is from the game I used to play. Its an old game and dead now
The only image I could find... Its not the crossbow in the game but it was close enough lol. -

Are you really going to take time out to examine the dead soldiers body for bullet holes, in real life, people have bullet wounds, in real life, if a person is struck with an arrow, the arrow will be present until removed. Also, if we add a bow to this game, that would mean they would have to calculate range for all weapons now also, because a bow cannot just have a fixed range or else even the slightest touch of the left click on the mouse will have it flying straight across the map and that is just...*whew*, that's something. -

I think you get too carried away.
