A suggestion to eliminate hackers

Hello Z8,

As most of us know, nearly all hackers uses newly created accounts to hack, because the account is worthless and also untraceable. Most of those accounts are fairly low level. If you guys can incorporate a way for the room creator to limit the lowest level that can enter the room (Ex. Staff Sergeant or above only) rooms, that should be able to eliminate many hacks since most of them won't risk their main account getting banned.

Please save crossfire! I really like this game and I hate to see hackers dominating it. Don't let them ruin crossfire please!

That's what Delta server is for.
Who plays Delta server? Pretty much no one
  • How about we create a server that allows hacks without consequences.
They can all have hacking tournaments and compete who has the best hacks.

And that isn't anyone's fault but ours. If we really wanted to, we could get the whole NA community to play there.

This for example. Syther tried to get people to play in Delta as a way to unite the forumer community, and what happens? It dies in 2 days. If people aren't willing to start off fresh in an effort to play against others who are legit, then there's no point in implementing anything.

And hackers can easily farm until reaching whatever rank is needed.
  • Not only low ranks hack, lts and higher ranks hacks as well expect they actually 'try' to hide their cheats when low ranks just go 100% aimbot mode.

Well I gave the Delta servers a try and turned out it's better called a BR Server cause everyone is Brazilian and none Brs just gets kicked.

Forumers begged and begged for something like this to come. When it did no one showed their support and just played regular Pubs.
  • Stopped reading when you said making a new account is untraceable zzz

It's all about timing. When you opened D2, there wasn't really anything wrong with Alpha pubs. In contrast, if you were to have opened it in the midst of a massive hack wave (such as the current one), you would have gotten 1) a larger and 2) more durable following.

Think about it in terms of party realignment. Alpha and Bravo are the established two parties. Delta is a third party trying to become a contender. Well, just like a third party would be unable to challenge the Democrats and Republicans during good economic times, Delta isn't going to replace Alpha and Bravo when there's no grievance against Alpha and Bravo. However, when there is a deep-seated grievance against Alpha and/or Bravo, Delta can come in and take a lot of former Alphaites and Bravoites.

What happened in reality when you opened D2 was that twenty or thirty people played in Delta for a couple of days. This was only a deviation. These deviants soon returned to their original servers (again, parties in the analogy). In contrast to a mere deviation, a realignment, if it had taken place at the right time, would have converted people into long-term Deltaites.

  • Yeah it was at a bad time (finals and exams) but that doesn't explain the fact that hundreds of forumers and large clans have agreed to support the UGS and yet none of them (most) actually stick through. Even now no one asks me to bring it back or try to..

There is something in the works to change the mindset about that underlined portion.

That alone should be enough to stem the flow of hackers using "newly created accounts".

    ;)
Gonna close this up for now, but trust me, we understand.
