Official Crossfire Competative Streaming
Well hello there ladies and gentlemen of competitive Crossfire, I hope you're enjoying your friday afternoon so far as I am mine. My name is Peter and in game I use the handle "MALTE". Let me excuse myself ahead of time for the limited information I can express over the forums, I'm confident that my fellow North American/Eu/South American competitive (or interested competitive) players want to propel our great game to another level of competition. I've noticed that the Toronto LAN has garnered ample amounts of attention and it looks to be a great chapter to the new year of Crossfire. Now, enough of my opinion I am posting this to serve a greater goal.
Just like everyone else, I have a busy student, working, and extra-curricular (tedious at times) schedule; BUT I am working on a side project with the help of g4box's resources which will be involving, but not limited to, competitive Crossfire streaming. I'm posting this thread to raise awareness and ideas which will mold the competitive community into something better, something it should have built, a foundation or at least groundwork into a better direction. I appreciate you reading this long thread so in a nutshell I hope to be using this competitive forum more often, along with Crossfire's official facebook page and my team, LifeLines facebook page.
If this was too long for you to read I essentially am going to be streaming under Crossfire online in the not-so-near future and would require competitive Crossfire players on and off the stream. I want YOU to post things that you would like to see on streams or on the competitive forum, not just scrimmages.
Here are a few ideas that I have:
- In depth point of views on maps,
- Competitive player's unique mental makeup analysis in-game
- Team discussions and general community involvement
I have been given this project's responsibility and I am privileged to make something beautiful out of it because through thick and thin I've seen a lot of ups and downs on and off the game and I feel it's time to put this game on the next level of competative eSports, This is going to be a great year for Crossfire.
If anyone else is interested or has any (positive) inquiries let us please create some stimulating conversation on this thread.

I won't be available to reply to the thread until after dinnertime but I hope we can brainstorm some fun and interesting ideas

Suggestion:
-nade/spam spots
- cross-hair positioning
-thought process when playing (You already mentioned this)
- team play (How to work together and push/defend sites properly, unsure if that is what you mean't by team discussion)
In general, I would aim more so at players that are not as experienced and knowledgeable in the competitive area. In essence, to draw in new players and expand the community. The players currently in the competitive area, for the most part, have been playing for a while and are experienced. If you bring in more interest and new players, you have the possibility to bring in new interest from organizations. (Granted, a large amount of capital would certainly help the community also)
If I was unclear (which I am a majority of the time), just xfire me and I will explain. -
Just record your scrims and then take a few rounds from each half (or the whole thing if you want) and commentate over it, explaining why you're doing things.
Or just record mumble as you scrim and upload the scrim with the voice chat on youtube, people would get enough of a kick out of that. -
Great ideas so far guys and thanks friends for the kind bumps. Im expanding our LifeLine mumble and we are going to have a pug system in place too, the way (and better might I add) that we had when pl0y was still on our team. We had a huge turnout almost daily and in regards to the streaming we are certainly putting all the pieces together
