So Toronto schools will be close Friday for sure.
The Schools in my area are going to be closing for spring break the same week.
If people can, the venue is willing to have us for March 29th Friday and Saturday(if needed). That way everyone can go back home and hunt eggs.
Basically,
Thursday March 28th - Travel
Friday March 29th - Event
Saturday March 30th - Travel
OR
Friday March 29th - Travel
Saturday March 30th - Event
Sunday - Travel -

The point, you missed it. Tae was saying he does not want to miss classes because that is wasted money that he pays to attend college. For example, if you miss a class it is around a loss of ~50 dollars depending on the cost of your tuition. He is looking at it from a opportunity cost perspective -

Funny thing is its a lot earlier to skip a day of college then to skip high school were teachers will chase you down the next day for missing one class, plus in college most school put the what was went over in class on the school site or just borrow notes? its really not going to kill you for one day.
i miss one day in class, no matter what, i go down a complete letter grade

Thats why I really want to keep it on March 30th.
Seeing that not that many people are complaining about Easter, it will most likely stay on March 30th.
If things work out right. There might be non event things going on Friday (such as eating, chilling, epic game of uno) for those who are there. -

Planning ahead will not give you your tuition and opportunity to learn back. I guess it's not a big deal that you will probably clean the toilet aye.
The time/date is horrible for such a small event. Smart people would only miss easter and school if there's an interesting prize winning (over 10k). It is stupid to pay for a LAN event(travel+lodging), miss school, miss easter gatherings to meet online randies and win 1k for the whole team. If I wanted to have fun, I would head out to hang with friends and go to a party. -

summer imo is the best possible time.
most people no longer have school for one, people who calculate the cost properly will find this to be the biggest waste of money.
Weather would be fineeee
more time, less cramping.
putting it on the summer would make it more like a vacation. -

You're making an awful big deal out of such a small event. Purv can't make a decision based on a single forumer. Hence why he's asking everyone as a whole and taking the most voted for.

I can go no matter what. I assumed people may have problems with this but i guess not as many did as i though. -

for such a small event, it cost too much to participate. Easter is for your family, you lose out on precious learning experience(school）and is not worth it at all. Half of the competitive community is made of Americans, perhaps more and making the LAN in toronto makes it harder for players who understand the opportunity cost to attend. -
