More ghosts with shovels and axes?
I played a few GM games yesterday and I noticed the larger population of axe rushers and shovel invisible hoppers.
Yes this is just another rant on shovels. I don't mind axes since I own one for 40 days.
The shovels long reach + the speed of the ghost makes it really hard on us BL. Sure we have guns, but then we reload and the just pop out and knock your head off, and it takes a few seconds for you to realize they whacked your head off. The lag is horribly annoying.
I know the shovel takes a bit of skill to use due to the strange timing, but it still bothers me how whacking a soldier in the chest with a shovel can kill. Stick to your axes.
On a related note, wouldn't it make sense to give away free shovels for Christmas with all the snow and whatnot?

First off, you can hear the ghosts, but I do agree that the shovel has an "advantage" of hitting someone at long distance. And besides, shovels are used for gardening:p, not for killing!! I havent tried the shovel yet, but I do have the axe, and im happy with it and I can own noob shovel/spop characters that think that they pro but get owned by me :P. And btw, I dont have spop, and I aint getting it:cool:. -
Yes but if a guy as low breath a shovel and a good bhop you have a small chance do kill him
The time that it takes to hear him he already kill you, what saves me from the kill is my armor but sometimes i dont have that luck
yeah the amount of people with shovels are getting annoying, now in GM at least half of BL has shovels...
and alot of them do use breath down and have a good bhop, ur camping then bam ur dead without a sound.... -
Ya, I still don't get how a field tool > combat weapon. If it was just a regular axe, then maybe. But it's an axe designed for combat. Plus, the shovel's lag is incredibly annoying. You see him swing, nothing happens, and your like HA NOW ILL GET YAA and start shooting. Then, you fall over dead. I've been hit by a shovel once and there was actually a 3 second delay. He swung, nothing happened, and I started running. I get like 5-10 feet and die. Come on now...

a GI multi tool shovel, has a sharpened edge, because it has been used in CQC.
now, all we need done, is have the shovel lagg fixed, after that no more crying

And I don't know what a GI multi tool shovel is (maybe I'm a noob like that), but I'm pretty sure the game calls it a field shovel a.k.a. a shovel someone picked up off the ground at a farm. And sure it has a sharpened edge, but so doesn't a pencil? -

Silly Noob. If you haven't noticed, noone here is QQing. We are all discussing what we don't like. There's a difference. And also if you haven't noticed, you have the harshest/whiniest tone in the thread and are the only one here who has typed in all caps. My speech in all caps doesn't count because it's not hostile. I was QQing before I posted this actually ;P
Today, I was facing a bunch of shovellers and I noticed something. They're freaking stupid if they're not rushing. So I stopped using my AWM and started using my AK47 and went the other way around (through A) and I picked off 3 of them because 1 was rush planting, 1 was just running around, and 1 from breath.
I wish I could use my AWM I used to love using that thing T.T stupid bunny hoppers -

nope the field shovel is used by a few countries ( US, Russia, and some E.U. nations) and is specifically designed for digging trenches (duh) and in emergency situations as a melee weapon. the edges are sharpened to the point where if you threw it at someone and they get hit with the shovel blade, they'd have a tool lodged in their humiliated body

It's simple. If you hear any ghost coming near to you. Simply jump back a few times and see if the run straight at you. Giving you the opportunity to kill them. Don't QQ about shovels ingame. A skilled knifer will do as much harm to you as a guy with a shovel.

A combat axe is still more effective in real life for fighting. About digging trenches, though... I gots my Golden Axe 8D!!It's simple. If you hear any ghost coming near to you. It's not that simple. You usually can't hear good bunny hoppers until they're on top of you. And a lot of noobs just wait until you reload and then slash/slice spam you. True, a skilled knifer is just as dangerous, but the number of those is a lot smaller than the number of nooby/mediocre shovelers. I'm not saying I can't do well in GM. I'm just saying shovel can get annoying. -

I bought Shovel 90 Days off of BM Exchange,FinalShotReviews gave it a horrible rating.
It's an epic wepon and i luv it.Ppl call me a noob,i think they're just mad cuz they dont have one,or they can't use it like me,i always get ACE in Arena,SOHVELS PWN U -

lol yeah the shovel in game looks like a farming too.... i mean come on... a wooden handle? and a tiny little spade?

Wtf? o.O I bought a shovel once and I hated it. I like the axe though, it just seems like a better weapon IMO.
The shovel is used to dig trenches, and the thompson was used to spray into trenches and kill everyone inside and was nicknamed "The Trench-Sweeper". didcha know? -

shovel is kinda lagging and reached 10000 miles away

Ehh? I read this for the lulz and then i realized it was YOU. Shovel/Axe in GM is the same as using a k2 or AK or Scar Light or any gun that's not your default. I say that i'll use my knife if everybody on the other team uses M16/M700
