Yet you are still so naive and know so little about your own field.

It will come with work experience. The thing about computer science educationally is that they force you to learn out dated languages and do everything like its the 1980s. For example, I did not touch a single web framework in any of my classes. I worked with one python framework freshman year. They focus upon the logic and theory so that you can adapt easily in the work place to new languages and frameworks as you have a strong background knowledge of programming. It is bad and good. Bad because you are sheltered, good because it produces adaptable students. I actually had this discussion with my adviser. They don't prepare you for the real world; then again what college does completely? For example, we build programs for complex mathematics (Sieve of Eratosthenes, Tower of Hanoi, vectors graphing with pointers) theories and don't touch anything real world such as a ticketing system or a application to track profits.
tldr; they focus on fundamentals as opposed to practical use. Hell I took a assembly class which is almost never used in the real world. Granted this is in my experience, I cannot speak for other colleges. -
I'm 20 years old and unemployed with no future desires to work.
