Ghost mode

I think the ghost should have flash grenades because the Blue Team is (op)=over powered and it is unfair for the ghost to have a knife, while the blue gets to choose any weapon.

Except the ghosts are invisible, they have the bomb, and they can use OP melee's
  • Kris already OP.

And besides the kris, a flash bomb will make the ghosts OP which would be unfair either way.
  • You're obviously someone who hasn't figured out how to bunny hop, or can't do so for a long period of time. Otherwise you would know that the Ghosts are more dangerous than the Global Risk team most of the time.

    Nah, still, I'm a GR Player :)
    Pinpointing rocks! :D
Sometimes just for the ake of the challenge, I mute my laptop, and focus on vision only :p
I beat players with every melee weapon there is :)
And I'm still not as good as Vu or the others ;)

Then you haven't played with 4th gen bunny hoppers that can bunny hop over long distances without stopping. By the time you hear their breath, you are already dead.

^Dude, you suck at pinpointing... Sry

    ^This.

Both sides are on equal levels. I could write a 5000 word dissertation on BL and GR in Ghost Mode, but instead I'll just give you some words of wisdome: Monitor your targets movement, predict the most logical movement route that they'll take, pro hop and forward hop, time attack perfect, never hop directly in front of their vision always the sides and finally learn to curve bhop.
  • The biggest problem with GM is that it requires knowledge that the game doesn't teach you.
    1. That ghost have breath and you can locate them with it.
    2. Bunny hopping allows invisible movement and how to do it.

    GM otherwise is pretty balanced.

I became MUCH better, you saw me like half a year ago :)

    Well then I haven't :p
Although I play GM alot ...

    this.

    and it's freaking annoying.

best thing you can do is dancing around in curves..

The problem is that this knowledge is blocked by the insane amount of kicks. Otherwise people would figure it out after getting farmed on a few times instead of just thinking : "it's not my fault, he hacked".

BL/GR sides are pretty balanced, except in Lost relics, where GR have a advantage IMO, as the areas fit for perfect hopping are limited.

In order for them to learn they need to ask someone that knows or go to the forums.
The game teaches nothing about ghost breath or bunny hopping. They play the game and see what they can and can't do and the game itself gives nothing to prove otherwise, so when they see players doing stuff they believe can't happen they assume cheat and kick.

Well, that's true for pinpointing. Bunny hopping can be grasped by spectating someone while dead, at least for the basics of starting and facing forward. That's why bunny hopping is more widespread than pinpointing.
I think events like the broadcasted finals of motg2 is the 2nd best way to teach people about GM basics, as it can be explained fast and you see players putting it into action right after.

Having a GM tutorial would be the overall best though, but as bunny hopping wasn't really implemented on purpose, it wouldn't be introduced in it, don't you think?

I get kicked faster in BL for bunny hopping then on GR for pinpointing.
Main reason why I don't BL often, have to carry entire team a lot and when I succeed I get kicked fast.

A tutorial be a nice feature but unlikely, but I'd like the game to mention Ghost breath and bunny hopping at least tho. Very few people watch those broadcast events, it mostly just forumers who already are informed with the game. The problem is a mass of players in game lacking knowledge and the will to seek it out.
  • But some people don't know bunny hop. And But other people spray there gun or hack or lag.

One must learn the WabbitHopz and get other Melees

  • I'd like to learn more on the specific gens of bunny hopping. Could anyone explain this more in detail or redirect me to a thread. It would be much appreciated.

And would someone redirect me to a pinpointing thread :P? Or explain it because I feel like I have a misconception for that topic.

But the reply to this topic, I feel BL is more advantageous because they have internet lag on their side. By the time GR hears their breath, Gr's have a 1-2 sec delay which is more than enough time for a ghost to kill the GR

Oh wow you ****ed me off.
*breath in breath out breath in breath out*
Go play M.A.T it's perfect for your kind.

I'm definitely not sure about that, but I think :
1st is basic backwards, at the beginning of the game, when bhopping was actually hard.
2nd is turning around after starting to hop.
3rd is changing directions while hopping.
4th is a optimized 3rd, over long distances and faster.

    Might be wrong though.

I was wondering the same thing.

Oh that! I thought he was talking about how people handle their bhop, not the method.
  • In my eyes gm is the most balanced mode in the game, but without skills you are lost in it and that may be your problem, a flash grenade for bl. after such a thing gm wont be a chalenge anymore

    ^^

true. Kinda like giving BL throwing melee's. GM would be re-titled BlackList mode.

If the Rival Factions event was with any GM map, it would be about dead even as it is...possibly BL even leading a bit.

Not the most balanced, TDM and Escape mode take that claim. But it is pretty even for both sides right now.

This is good, I wanted a description not a tutorial. 4th Gen, bhopping is pretty easy. O.O
I must learn 5th gen, and PRATICE ramps. FAWK you ramps.:/

And what is the 5th gen bhop?

Two different people, two different explanations. So I'm a little sketchy.
