low FPS

I have been looking at the forums a lot and i see that most ppl have a fps of at least 200. Now mine is usually only 25-30 fps. Is there a program or something i might be able to use to raise this. BTW i used game booster for lag and opened the ports in my router. So i don't lag anymore to other ppl but on my own computer i skip sometimes. can anyone help me?

What are those specs?

It's the comps they have, not the programs. I get 35-40 and it looks fine. Sure would be nice having 100 though xD

Yea, i say if you have a FPS of 30+ your game should be ok. If you have a higher FPS your game will run alot smoother so that means its less laggy and sticky.
LOL the highest i have seen my FPS was 350 lol...

My pc is a 2.0 ghz, 64 on board graphics card (intel), 512 ram (166mhz). I was just wondering because i saw someone say they raised there FPS by raising the "limit". I didnt want to go messing with CF's config files cause of the anti hack(didint want it to think i was hacking). But ya most likley i just have to upgrade to get it better. Thx all for the advice.

Alot of the players are using vista still. Most people know that vista hogs alot of your computer resources. The laptop I was using before was a xp machine and I had around 120-140 FPS. On the laptop I have now its around 40 FPS with gamebooster. Havent heard how the Win7 guys are doing yet


Also, does depend on your specs for your computer

Thx and btw i would never use vista for that reason i hate how it uses ALL of your computer to run it. Im a XP girl all the way and always will be. I would still use 98 but they stoped updating it
