This will help out scrims and echo 8 which we need. I agree with mikkey use your armor somewhere else. Echo 8 doesn't allow it and people who use armor and zp chars are just killing the comp side of cf. Why not stop thinking about re skinned weapons, and move on to helping about the competitive side, or the game in general. Doesn't z8games want WCG, WOGL, ESL, ESG, etc want crossfire to pick them up?

In the competitive you don't call armor legit, you call it braking cf down. Why do so many have to disagree...

It's a good and bad idea.

It labels players and can get them kicked in all servers due to it but...

It can help with the competitive side to see if one is using armor.

Armor conforms to the rules, is legal, and doesn't require a player to engage in illegal activity. So yes, it is in-fact legit to use armor.
So Frecklez was correct.
Bringing up a words context meanings is a cop-out, it's saying that you disagree with the ACTUAL definition of the word so you make your own.

I'd also like this feature put in.

The biggest feature I want though is put a single macro key like in CS so I can wip out my nade/flash/smoke in one macro button so I don't have to Jam 4 like 3 times. I ma make a thread.

i dont play in e8.... i played in alpha and i got kicked for my spop and custom because someone said its OP. also i dont really care if people in e8 got those rules but there is no real rule made by z8 so even if i would go in e8 and use armor i dont break any rules.
but i dont, they say there are pro people in e8 yet they cry about allmost everything...

Depends on your definition of "legit."

My biggest issue with E8 scrims is there are people who assume you all play by the same rules. Sometimes I go in WOGL style, and get popped by an M12. On the other hand, sometimes people will cry about M4 custom or armor.

My suggestion is if you're going to scrim in E8, establish specific rules for weapons, armor etc. with the team you're scrimming before the game.

I've never once seen the term 'trees' being used as a synonym for weed. Context is still nothing but a cop-out because you disagree with the definition of a word.

Legit and frowned upon are two different things. No official statement was made stating that Echo-8 was a Scrim channel, and thus had to conform to popularly known Scrim rules. If people cry about armor that makes them want to quit crossfire which basically makes the game dead. It's not fair because the competitive side of crossfire get nothing to help them. Armor is only legit for the non competitive players. Tons of people cry because of armor in echo 8. It is a big deal because it makes other teams look bad that they lost to another team because they weren't playing by the rules. Lets keep discussing

Lets not.

This thread has gone beyond retarded. It's on the players that cry about armor, not on those that use it. People will cry over just about anything, whether it is a weapon used, a character, or armor. But what it all comes down too in the end, they are all just excuses for bruised egos.

People are kicking way too many fair players already, and we're not going to make it easier for them to continue this trend by making armor obvious.
