Where can I go to be a ringer for pugs/scrims?
Seriously. I'd join a team, but considering I've never scrimmed or pugged, I am probably not good enough. There's plenty of places to find scrims and pugs on Counter-Strike, such as IRC channels or ESEA, however I haven't been able to figure out where to go to find pugs in CrossFire. Echo 8 is always empty when I go there, as well. Any help? Sorry if this is a stupid question; I'm quite new to CrossFire, and just want to find some semi-competitive people to play with.

Depends on what time you visit echo 8, usually there's a lot of people on scrimming/pugging. You just have to pub and eventually someone will ask you to ring or something and you work your way up from there.
I've been pubbing for a long time. It's quite boring, and no one has ever asked such a thing. There has to be somewhere else to find actually good people. I seriously doubt anyone skilled who is able to pug or scrim would spend any time pubbing, ever. -

Not all people who scrim/pug are necessarily skilled. There are a few good players that pub in echo 8 every now and then. -

It's not that I think only skilled players scrim or pug; however, scrimming and pugging are the only things I ever do in Counter-Strike, and I'd like to be able to do the same in CrossFire, too, since they're the only fun things to do in FPS.
Are you sure there is no where I can reliably find ten-mans or pugs to play in? -
If you wanna ring, just say "ringing" in the Echo 8 lobby, but you have to be at least a bit known for that. You can try to become friends with people from teams, and maybe they'll ask you to ring for them as well. Or just pub in e8 and make a name for yourself so people recognize you and ask you to ring for them. Sorry if this doesn't help though... I don't really e8 much.

Yea that.
It takes time to get known.
Just play good in pubs/pugs and if your good, eventually you'll get recognized for your name and people will want you to ring or invite you to a team. -

Well that's the problem. I don't know where to play pugs, and pubs are terribly boring. -

Well, pugs are half gone now due to the community's negativity.
You can ask around in the e8 lobby they'll announce it there or someone will tell you.
I think EliteGaming or WickedCore Gaming and Frost Gaming does drafts/pugs often as well.
Other than that people just scrim all day. Sometimes they post news on drafts and pugs here on this forum as well.
So just watch out for those, or else you'll have no choice but to ring and scrim.
Sorry this is CF for you not CS. lol. -
