I'm not saying he quit playing CF because people are stupid (although that very well could have played a part), I'm saying he stopped caring in regards to actively doing stuff for the community. Whether or not he plays CF is irrelevant to whether or not he cares enough to contribute.
Which now, he doesn't. And he has stated in multiple posts that he has stopped because, although he wants to help out the couple teams that are worth it, the rest of the community makes it a waste of his time.
I fail to see how that's being "on his ****." -

So what you're saying is that the forum posts doop made explaining that he enjoyed helping the community for teams like Hammertime were irrelevant? I can see that logic, however I can also see that those 6 lines of xFire conversation are vague and can be interpreted multiple ways. I'd be more inclined to change my OP if doop had put some emphasis on this in his forum posts.
However, the reasoning for doop's leaving the community is irrelevant to the actual point of this post. Whether or not the community "drove" doop to stop helping out is not needed to convey my point, however it is a good way to do so, and that's why I chose it. If doop blatantly states that he stopped caring because his team died, and that the entire thing with WOGL was irrelevant, than I'm more than happy to change my original post. Because as I said before, it's not about doop leaving.

In the first part, denxi uses doop's leaving as an example. This is a good example because it is a direct cause-and-effect situation. The community is ****ty, so doop leaves. Bad community = bad thigns happen. Not a hard train of thought to follow, so it conveys the issue well, that issue being the crappy community.
Well, how do we fix this? You can't offer a problem without a solution? Denxi addresses this in his second part. By saying, and I quote, "I can't have been the only idiot police," denxi is conveying that some form of suppression needs to be done, in order to stop the prevalence of people being complete and utter morons/tools. So, how does one do this? Look to the same part. Denxi is suggesting that suppression needs to occur by having people actively provide opposition to the stupidity. By using himself as an example of someone who did this, denxi conveys that it doesn't have to be mods that do this, community members can as well. However, because denxi is vague, it suggests that he is ALSO communicating that it doesn't HAVE to be average community members either, it could easily be better moderation. Really, it means that it could come from any source.
See what I mean? I only used doop's leaving because it was a) a current event, and b) was a VERY good way to demonstrate my point. Now, if what you're saying is true, and it ISN'T a good demonstration, then I'm more than happy to change the example I used.
