Veteran Reward
The Idea;
You're aware there is a ribbon for owning a account over one year old. However, some people take advantage of that by not playing the game. What about we modified it? You must have (GameTime/PlayTime) of over a year to achieve the ribbon? If you have it at the moment you keep it.
What comes with it;
You will achieve rewards.
1. Veteran Beret. - Which will be a blue Beret with a [V] pinned onto it. (No-EXP Bonus).
^-- [ Must Have Honorable Soldier Ribbon ]
2. Forums Privileges. - Signature Modification (Full). (No HTML or GIFs.).
3. You get a User Title "Veteran Player". - Removes your rank of Posts with that.
4. Veteran Name Card - The Name Card will be blueish and will have "Veteran" on it.
The outcome;
1. Veteran Beret. [ Must Have Honorable Soldier Ribbon ]

3. You get a User Title "Veteran Player".

Including;
You may moderate your connection time - over-all time by viewing the event page.
It should be listed as the very bottom one however.

If they don't play, who cares if they have a ribbon. -
However, some people take advantage of that by not playing the game.
Didn't know inactive people could take advantage of something they're unknowingly getting.
And no, the idea is simply absurd. For me, at least. Over a year in game? That's 8760 hours in game.
Just no. The ribbon is fine the way it is. Nobody's "taking advantage" of it. -

Some of the ideas seem pretty good while some others might need a bit more thought put into them.
A year of ingame time is definetly too much. How would they be determined inactive if they were to go inactive?
Veteran Name Card - Nice
Forum Privileges - Again people would have to be determined active to get this? I think the priveleges are fine how they are now
Veteran Beret - I'd actually love to have that.

Of course getting rewards is always nice but in the end the whole ribbon system was meant to be a little bonus, not a whole new way of getting something others don't.
Permanent Items are just handed out if there is a specific mark reached, e.g. M4CC at 20 ribbons and Shovel RD at 40 ribbons. There won't be a single ribbon released that gives you so many items at once.
Apart from that I don't see any problem with people "abusing" this ribbon. It's not like it would give you a special advantage or whatsoever. Why'd you care if someone, who isn't playing at all, has a ribbon more or less?
