FPS Problem

Hey everyone, I have an eGPU (external Nvidia 560 GFX desktop GPU connected to my Lenovo T420 Laptop) and recently started playing CF again. For the past couple weeks I've been getting steady 170-200 frames, but now all of a sudden it's all over the place, never gets above 100, and drops down into the teens at its worst. Any explanation as to why? Any help is much appreciated!

I've tried:
Messing with the in-game video settings
Messing with the C4_Box.exe GPU assignments in the Nvidia Control Panel
Updating Driver Software
