CF Boot Error - Help

Hello everyone, I looked through the sticky's and couldn't find anything on this so if someone could please help me out that would be awesome. When I attempt to boot CF, it gets to the HGW box and gets to step 7, then prompts me with this error:

No clue what to do, can anyone help me out?
I've located the shell file in my Program Files and it is there.

You should download a new CShell.dll and put them back in your cf folder.

Where do I download a copy of just that specific file? Do you mean download a fresh copy of the game? I just downloaded it yesterday.

Either you have been messing with that file yourself or by running an illegal program or you have a program that corrupted it when installing it.

Either reinstall the game or find cshell.dll and replace it.

yeah you can go on the google or find a friend and tell them you need a new Cshell.dll, so they can put on mediafire for you to download it( hope i help you)

Rename the \CShell.dll file to CShell.dll and replace

I just downloaded a fresh copy of the game and got the same error. I'll try looking for a copy of the file online now.

I do not have a Backup folder?? My CShell.dll file is in the Crossfire folder itself, there is no \CShell.dll file that I can find.

I have the same problem.

I don't have C:\Program Files\Z8Games\Crossfire\Backup\1108 in my CF folder, it goes up to 1107. Is there anything else I can do? I just redownloaded and reinstalled the game and it's still not working.
