In-game reporting
Yes, yes I know why the higher ups don't want it but then I found a few ways to save from the spam.
First you have a limit in how many reports you can send, which is 1 a day. (or 1 every 2 days)
Second you have to put a price on reporting. It would be 500 or 1,000 GP. This makes sure people can't just report just for the heck of it and people who actually want to report someone would be able to pay a small price.
Third have a certain rank such as staff sargent 4th class. This makes sure people who have actually played the game for a certain amount of time get to report based off experience.
Fourth make people fill out a large, unappealing form to report them. This will separate the lazy people and the people who know what they are doing.
The ban system of in-game reports go to 1-month and then permanent ban.

I like all except the second condition, wasting anything to report a hacker should not be necessary.
but the idea is fantastic +1 -

I really like this idea +1
However, the rank requirement would make it unfair for new players to report in-game.
Secondly, some people don't have much GP or they might be saving up for a gun.
Overall, I think if this was to happen then I a lot of people would just QQ on the forums. -

Why would they QQ on the forums? If you're talking about people QQing about XY didn't get banned yet though I reported him then I gotta tell you that these people already exist. -
How would it make it unfair ? They still have the ability to report at all, the way is just a little bit harder. It's like another reason to rank up, some sort of a "reward"..

I just think it is a bit unfair for the new comers. And might discourage them to not to report.
And ya I'm talking about these people. -
Lol I will not spend my own GP on reporting hackers, and only one report per day u can play for 3 hours at one day and u can find over 5 hackers then u saying we should report only one hacker . but it's good idea for the people who hate too much hackers (special the high rank hackers)

Report is the only defence we have against hackers and you want to make it harder to report?
Next think I'll hear is z8games stop reports and at all, to built its own hacks and sell them for zp. That's totally crazy mate!

not exactly - the way I see it, at least.
I suggest you guys pay attention to this
OP is suggesting ANOTHER method to report players, but he doesn't want it to replace the current report system.
it seems like he wants users to pay to use the ingame report system, but reporting through support tickets will stay the same.
there. it's just an addition, and a very nice one on top of that. -
The reason you have to pay a small price of GP is to make sure people think twice before reporting someone.
Higher ranks tend to have more in-game experience then low ranks which is why they should get the ability to report. And everyone still gets to use the website support ticket for free anyways.
You complain about hackers so is it such a big price to pay?
The in-game report system would send the replay and you fill out a pop-up form just like the website's one and fill out the intended information.
If you don't lose anything such as GP then people would get the idea that they might as well use their 1 report since it doesn't hurt them in any way. -
When I first saw the title of this thread, I was like here we go again and almost ignored it. However I saw that Frozen started it and decided that it might be worth checking out.
This idea is full of potential and I am shocked over how genius this is. It benifts Z8 staff and players alike. I fully support this idea and would love to see something like this implemented.

I think the first report of the day should be free, and the rest gets charged money
Or, charge them anyways but they get compensated for reports that people are actually hacking
This seems like a better alternative. Charging for reports would definitely deter people from reporting, but if they will be reimbursed (or even GAIN GP) then that is a definite incentive. Of course having a reward would probably bring the number of reports up.
SO the best option would probably be to reimburse the charge the player paid to submit the report. -

^Qft.
I do believe Saidin or one of the MODs had talked about how this suggestion posted security/privacy issues, but if they can get around that somehow, +1?
