Masterpost: WCG CA

Hello, My name is Jeremy or you guys might know me by the IGNs of .Storm, JERML, and now, Shadow. I was lucky to be apart of the WCG Canada LAN in Montreal that took place over this weekend. My team, LifeLine, and I took 2nd place. Here is a day to day summary:
DAY ONE.
I just get off school to ride a bus to montreal, roughly 2 1/2 hours. Next to me on the bus was some lady who fell asleep and kept on lying on my shoulder which was strange but i was busy studying for my chemistry mid-term (yeah, midterm in HS? Confused as well.). After the bus. Escape and Malte picked me up and we dropped off my bags at the hotel and drove to the center. The mall itself was a decent size but the spacing between the computers were just a tad small. I kept hitting my mouse with Escape's Keyboard and well, he didn't seem to mind. We set up warmed up for about 15-20 mins, and I got to meet the boys I had teammed up with for a bit. I also met the c2 boys (slant, aks, vinxed, fmb, akira) and we played our matches. We ended up getting ****d by Carnage, and they would go undefeated in the tourney. We went home after getting poutine (fries with gravy and cheese) and we slept after a bitter loss.
DAY TWO.
We woke up at around 9 to go get ready and watch the matches for the saturday games. We watched some great matches between the teams and we finally got to set up and get ready to play against c2. Our match against c2 I guess was pretty much the reason for us having the motivation to even attend. If you people didn't know, Slant, Akira, and Vinxed all left LL 1 week before the event to create c2 to attend the tournament. So we quickly got together a roster and finalized it about 2-3 days before lan. We played Mexico which was our preferred map to play, and we finished up against them 14-4. After the match against c2, we immediately played NBD (Wotip, Ck, Sickpuppy, Bizz, Pauldean) and finished that up on mexico with the score of 13-5. We then packed up and supported Carnage's semi finals match against c2, as they prevailed in a 2-0 fashion. We then went out to eat once more at the mall, and chilled around the hotel, and got to walk around DT for a while. We crashed pretty early, preparing to go into the third day.
-Sidenote: Roth and Alvin both got nasty 5ks, go watch rebroadcast to watch me suck and see my team carry me.
DAY THREE.
At this point there were three teams left, Carnage, Us and NBD, as c2 got eliminated on Saturday night. We checked out of the hotel at around 10 to walk a good 15 mins to the car to drop off the bags without our equipment, picked up breakfast and left. We arrived at the LAN center just after NBD, and we prepped and got ready. We first played EE and we barely won, losing first half 6-3 but winning 7-2 (Alvin the clutch viet). They decided to rm us on EE and this time we won 10-6, and we were stoked having not much time to be together but to make it here to the finals. We prepped but we had to wait because CombatEX and his Opponent were finishing up sc2, in which Combat lost ):. We then started with mexico with us getting ****d on T side, winning only 3 rounds. We then played ct side, and we just fell apart, Carnage was bringing it and we just did not have an answer to their game. We cleared our mind to play carnage on bw, the map they beat us on day one. We won first half 5-4 (Only half carnage ever lost that tournament) and we eventually lost 10-7 in second map, as Carnage prevails and were Canada's top team.
We shook hands took pictures, talked around and then just left to eat and we had to catch our buses/drive back home.
The overall event was extremely fun, and to put faces on people I meet over the internet was pretty cool (esp Ayrin, since 09'). Shoutout vids are on my phone and vlogs or w.e, and ill post them up later. Good luck to the Carnage boys, a well deserved, and a great win and I'll be sure to cheer them on in China! We plan to keep playing for once with our roster, to play whatever comes up, and hope to see you guys online!

Thanks for Reading!
