notice how posts like these only come from subpar players
anything above 60 fps is great, 40-60 is playable, players with 35- are either garbage or lying. -
Do you think fps affects ones' skill? Keep in mind Harvey has 40 fps, Mav has 200fps
I don't think its an incredibly crucial aspect of it, I mean yeah 200+ is a big advantage i have 200+ myself but i also used to play 60 fps as well, i think its more or less 50 50, if you don't have the aim needed in the first place then it wont change much but it will give someone a significant chance to improve. Provided any low FPS anyone has is stable its not to bad. but yeah IMO its a 50/50 thing. -
I am #1 Swag guy.Do you think fps affects ones' skill? Keep in mind Harvey has 40 fps, Mav has 200fps
Yes. Especially if the player is expecting to have a good, smooth running game. For me I get a solid 135fps staring at a wall with only one other player in the server. However, when smokes start going off and people are running around on my screen and shooting it goes down to an unhappy 30 fps and sometimes lower. These are very frustrating playing conditions and can be quite a hassle. -

hmmm?
when i played on my friends fast computer i noticed that and i thought they changed the mechanics or something.
below 25 fps and it starts being unplayable. above that imo it doesnt make too much difference. however. when my fps is like at 18. my screen freezes for 3 seconds when i shoot so that kinda sucks. -
FPS is only part of the problem of game play. You have to consider the human error such as reaction time. Here is an example for the eyes.
If your screen refreshes at 85Hz and your game runs at 50Hz (=50fps): Are you sure that you don't need to synchronize them? Are you sure, you don't need to play with a multiple of 85 to enjoy synchronized refresh updates? So the game running at 85fps may better than at 100fps. Maybe even a TFT display was better. It displays only with about 40fps but progressively.
Even though single eye cells (rods and cones) may have their limitations due to their chemical reaction times and due to the distance to the brain, you cannot be sure how they interact or complement or synchronize. If 1 cell is able to perceive 10fps, 2 cells may be able to perceive 20fps by complementing one another. So don't confuse "The human eye" with "The cell".
So basically some peoples eyes are more reactive than others. Try changing the lighting around your screen and room as brightening or darkening the light can help you eye adjust better and gaining you fps and reaction times.
