Folk life
Hey HRG –
I hate being the bearer of bad news, but World Cyber Games has just made us aware that they’ve been forced to make a sudden change to their policies regarding the presence of more than one team per game at the Global Festival. Team USA will not be allowed to send more than one Cross Fire team to compete in China this November.
I wish there was something we could do to help. Han and I have had some extensive conversations with our contact from within WCG regarding the situation, and plainly put, there isn’t any flexibility as this is a combined WCG and publisher decision. Team Hammertime are the only players that are going to be allowed to compete in China from the US.
Obviously it goes without saying, this really sucks. Han and I have been working hard the past few weeks to get you guys prepared for this trip. We’ve dedicated time and resources to make sure all the appropriate arrangements were made so that your team would have a great time in China. We were looking forward to seeing you compete at your fullest potential, and we know you guys have made a substantial effort to re-arrange your personal schedules, and coordinate finances to make this trip work. Planning a trip to China isn’t an ordinary undertaking, and it’s disappointing to all of us to have gotten this far in the process only to have things change on such short notice.
That said, having planned this trip in good faith, I’d really like to move forward and make sure we’re all working together to ensure everyone is reimbursed for their expenses. We’ve spoken with WCG regarding this topic, and they’re willing to take care of all our out of pocket travel costs. They’ll be sending us a formal letter of explanation detailing the situation further, and I’ll work with you to make sure everyone’s costs are properly covered if necessary. In the meantime, hold all your receipts related to any travel purchases. If you would still like to travel to China on the current itinerary and WCG as a spectator, let us know so we can at least negotiate these details with WCG.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss further, I’d be free to set up some calls tomorrow in the late afternoon (eastern time). Otherwise, I’ll be in contact with more information from WCG shortly, and we can move forward on making sure everyone gets their money back.
I’m really sorry for the bad news guys. This one’s totally out of Han and my hands. We’ll follow up with WCG to make sure everything is made right to its fullest.
I’ll be in touch soon -

Conspiracy. Hammertime paid them 5$ to do it. Caught, busted, ripped. -
give back the 170/5.000 usd ppl gave you L0L
We can use it for league expenses. The site took out like 10% of it anyways. Not like we have the whole thing. Anyone who paid a substantial amount gets things in return. Most wanted lessons from me so thats what they get. My going rate for lessons has always been 20, so they arent paying more anyways.
