Hurricane Sandy, event extensions?

I am part of the east coast that has been affected by the hurricane. It would be greatly appreciated that the Halloween Map Marathon event was extended for a few more days since there have been many people that aren't able to go online and accumulate the 10 hours they need to receive all the available crates from this event. Many millions of people are without power and can't play their beloved crossfire and earn free crates. If the event isn't extended, at least make it extended people in the east coast of the US have more days to complete it because they are the one's without power. This would be greatly appreciated by the east coast Americans.

I'm using a generator. Not everyone of the millions of people that lost power have them.

I doubt they are going to extend the event cause of this..
It's sad what has happened/still happening but nothing went wrong on their site - if their servers had been down for a day then they'd have to extend it but I don't see any chance that they will extend it because a few players aren't able to play as they don't have power..

but because something happend there means they have to give more time?
i dont think so... it wouldnt be fair because the people that got to play would have more time then normal and then later there would be threads about that.

4g lte does give some impressive speeds depending were you are ive gottens 12 mbps dl speed befor not good but not horrible compared to some lan networks

I agree that the hurricane is a horrible thing, but there was a power outage in my part of Minnesota a couple years ago during the christmas event. As a result, I missed most of the patch and was not able to complete the events included in the patch. I just don't think they would give an extension based on something that was not in their control.

A generator is for personal entertainment use... there isn't exactly "important" tasks to do with your generator.
