Slight Clan Page Change - Event Logs
Attention all prize hunters.
Today we have made a very small change to the event page. We have added a flag for when we manually have to adjust an items duration or amount when handing it out.
Sometimes when we give away an event prize, the item in the database is not exactly the item we want to give out. For example, the prize for an event could be a 30 day weapon, but the database only shows a 90 day version.
What would happen is we would manually adjust the days, but the Event Log on your profile would display the original 90 day version. This caused confusion for players who thought they had a different item.
We have added the following line to the bottom of the Logs page.
Items marked with a * have been adjusted by Z8Games
This has been changed and a new category of "GM GIFT*" has been added to indicate that a manual adjustment was made.
We continue to hold events and give away as many items as we can so keep your eyes out for the latest way to earn free items and prizes for your account.
Thanks everyone for your continued loyalty and patience. We're doing everything we can to make Cross Fire a better game for everyone!

When we do a manual adjustment like this you can see that there will be a * next to the amount. This indicates that an adjustment was made manually to the prize as per the rules and regulations of what we gave out.
The most recent example of this is our Halloween 2012 Crate compensation we gave to players who might have experienced an over-charge when buying the crates on Day 1. The database only has a 5 crate option, but we only gave away 1 crate per transaction to players. While we were being accurate, the Event Log was not as it would display "5 crates".This has been changed and a new category of "GM GIFT*" has been added to indicate that a manual adjustment was made.

does this mean more... "customizable" gifts?
We've actually always handed out customizable gifts, depending on the event. Since day 1 really. But this just gives a little more information to the user.
Hopefully to make them a little less upset when they see a prize that we actually gave them which was actually the right prize. -

i'm lost, anyone wanna explain this in stupider words -
i'm lost, anyone wanna explain this in stupider words
I'll give an exact example.
On the event page here:
http://crossfire.z8games.com/events_page.aspx
You can scroll down to see the Log In event to win an AK 47 Knife Advanced for 7 days.
In our game database we have that weapon as a default of 30 days. But since for this event we were giving it away for 7 (we give away all types of days, amounts etc for various events). We needed to manually adjust the days from 30 to 7 as we put the item in your inventory.
However, if you looked on your event log on your profile on the clan page you might have noticed a line that would say "AK 47 Knife Adv 30 Days GM GIFT".
This would cause you to look at your weapon and only see it for 7 days (as per the contest) but in the log it would say 30 days. Then you would send us a ticket asking for the extra days. Even though there are no extra days for this, and you got exactly what the contest said you would.
From now on the logs will show a * next to a scenario that happens which indicates that we have made an adjustment to that particular item.
You can still send us a message asking what's up, but we hope this is a bit clearer for you knowing a change has been made.
