This thread only ran a week last December and I just revived it a little over a week ago, but you’re right, it kinds feels like 10 months (actually feels longer than that!) . I wouldn’t dream of trying to steal your teammates...and thanks for taking the time to comment, Phillybear, and thank you so much for the gl! As you can see, we need it. :D

I never thought of an all girl team from the angle of being discriminatory to the guys. About 8-9 years ago I was in an all girl squad in another series and did an interview with Ladygamers.com. A question about sexism was asked; but back then there weren’t a lot of girls playing fps and the reason we banded together was because at one point our members had been hassled for playing because of our gender. Subjected to some pretty nasty comments. So we formed a team as a means of having buds that we can truly trust and feel a sense of safety around. Good thing times have changed since then and we managed to make some solid friends online.

We had 26 girls in my old squad and believe it or not, no drama. The team ran smoothly with a good balance of Snipers and Assault. We were hoping to recapture the old mojo again.

It would be kewl to do some bloodletting with ya!

I understand where you're coming from plus an all girl clan you don't end up as some sorta token Idol. For some reason I can't add people as a friend on CF even after I've been deleting. My IGN is DystopiaMMI.
  • Good luck but...it's gonna be 80 percent guys.

Err, if that's your prediction I hope you're wrong, lol! We're just a small group of armed chicka's now. And ya, I'm sure we're all female. I'm pretty good friends with our squad leader in real life.
  • I am curious, how active is everyone anyways? It seems interesting to join an all girl clan BUT I know I have issues when no one is on (I get bored easily).

If you have xfire mine is lilith77. Heh, my main is Lilith.
  • hey, im a girl. But do i have to have S0G in my name :/??
  • Good luck with recruiting. <*^_^*>

Why everyone wants females in their clan? <O_o>
(I'm still staying in [V.b.D] Fin , tought.)

We try to play everyday. Kind of a pain in the butt getting everyone rallied because of the time differences between us. I’m in the eastcoast, two are in the mid/southwest, one in Hawaii, and one in the westcoast.

“sog” is not required in your ign. In fact, having or playing with a SPOP isn’t mandatory either. Here’s why— (and I know guy SPOP users can relate to this) how many times have you been on a killing spree when another player sees your SPOP and pledges his undying love for you during a match? Or starts text whispering you about all the stuff they want to do to your anatomy when the lights go out? Gets creepy doesn’t it? Or just getting punted from a server because you’re doing well but in the minds of others a SPOP is an unfair advantage because she’s smaller looking?
SPOP = zp you may not have or want to buy
SPOP = may be subjected to extra harassment because someone thinks you’re a girl or because you are a girl
SPOP = not required, for those reasons, we understand
    Good Luck recruiting
Thanks Colourless! Your ava reminds me of my boss when he gets geeked-up on coffee. :P

Don’t know about the motives others have, MPGDella stated above that it may be a “token Idol” thing (which I suspect holds some truth) , I like to think that it’s because not a lot of girls play CF and getting one in your squad is a rarity and reflects an open mind.

We when i get more members.. wanna play? My clan is pretty decent. :)
  • Great to see another girls clan growing, too often the male players here scare away good girl fps players with all their comments and plain creepiness. There are more girls playing hardcore FPS games now then ever before and we must make sure they have as much fun playing as the rest of us!

Good luck with recruitment and hope your clan and other girls centric clans here keep on growing! ^_^

That’s a good point, Phillybear, what you’re referencing is online safety & security for girls, right? Just from lessons learned from online gaming with an all female team, there is one thing that we’ve picked up; our members may face a problem that she would probably never encounter if she were in a co-ed squad instead. That problem is that once people know you’re affiliated with a girl’s squad you may be putting yourself out there for more abuse. While most will support efforts like this, some will hate it with a passion. Hate it enough to go out of their way mess with you and ruin your fun.

A squad like ours isn’t for every girl because let’s face it, not every girl wants the potential of extra hassles hanging over her head every time she logs-on to play. What we’re trying to assemble is a group of girls that aren’t loyal to a squad called Shades Of Grey but a group of girls loyal to each other. We are selective but I’ve known most of my teammates since 2000. What we’re looking for in new members are girls whose personalities are as strong as their Crossfire tactics.

And to help us deal with the area of safety, we’ve got these guys: http://cyberangels.org/about.php They’ve helped us in the past and it's a comfort knowing these are the kind of angels we have looking over our shoulders.

And thanks for the encouragement FallenAngel!
