Anybody could get a job, not everyone gets a paid trip to china to play video games and have the chance to win a good amount of money. But hey maybe they will send people to china who are on the forums all day instead of the actual game

while that may be true, unless you are looking for a career dealing with gaming, it is pretty much worthless, sorry i would rather be a waiter (i'm not though) and make 2000 a weekend at a restaurant than have a chance (very slim one to say) to win 30000, i could work 4 weeks out of the whole year, bring home ~8000 untaxed and pick a country of my choice to visit and still come out ahead of you.

also try putting went to china and got 8th in F2p FPS with a paid trip on your college app or résumé, see where that gets you.

while china might not be infested with HIV, it isn't the only disease that exist, but i truly appreciate your rebuttal because it brought fact to the table unlike most of the idiots on these boards.

unless you're a waiter that works in an area populated by celebs, you won't make anywhere near that amount in a weekend lol.

Hammertime doesn't have a slim chance and you've played this game just as much as they have individually. Playing CF is a hobby so if you can make some money then why not?

I highly doubt you make 8k untaxed in a month.

For your first unprofessional resume you can place your standings for an international lan in the activities/awards section. Even though no employer will actually care, it still spices up your resume to look different from everyone elses' resume and makes you a more "interesting" candidate

Nobody is planning to go to china in order to bang/wife-up some chinese citizen... If anything i'd be worried about malaria but then again you should get vaccines prior to going there.

Any "worldly" experience is a bonus. It might not be high on their priority list, but they'll care.

it really depends on what job you're applying to/your employer. For example I had my standings for national/international latin dance competitions on my first resume when I was applying to a job as a pharmacy technician. On the interview I ended up talking about it a little considering they asked but all in all it isn't a determining factor on whether or not I get the job as dancing has absolutely no correlation to what is needed for a pharmacy technician. I don't think i'll even include it when I'm applying for work as a pharmacist(don't think I've seen any activities being put on professional resumes)

sorry not sure what job market you regarding to as "spice up your resume" but that is not even significant , corperate world, they don't give a shi.t, they usually look at 3. things, 1. Communication skills, 2. GPA/SCHOOL attended/CLASS ranking, 3. technical skills, they spend roughly 30-1 minute looking at your resume or w.e for those things.

and for the woman, thing, that was sarcasm/joke, glad most of you are taking that serious though.

hobby = time wasted, unless you are like me, you don't have time to waste.

and yes there are actually very nice restaurants in my area and i know a lot of people that make 1-3 a week as waiters/bar tenders, it might not be the case for some, but many of my friends bring home pretty good pay checks.

bringing a 9th grade pic of me is irrelevant, please continue with your horrible humor, and to be honest i am not ashamed of the way i looked in 9th grade. considering that was 4-5 years ago but continue, it amuses me how you have a picture of me saved, it must mean something to you.

also albert that was a joke, and that is not why DWS ended, but even if i was a bad player it doesn't matter to me at all.

and for the haters, yes i work at mcdonalds(haha right), but obviously i'm bringing 2.7k a week

    continue.. to hate

obvious cut off is personal information dealing with taxes but u can see net pay

  • hourly rate is the only thing that matters but that's actually pretty good for someone who is still in college

what's up with the 3 different rates though?
  • no fallout you were gonna get cut no matter what

why wont you just ask ghandi
  • Falloutt wrote: »

I guess waiting tables is the new career to have... I'm sure its extremely common for a waiter to make 2000 dollars in a weekend.

  • If you live in Bloomfield hills there is no way ur making 2grand at a restraunt over one weekend. I lived in the ****ty mitten till I was 16. Theres roughly 4thousand ppl that live there, that was before the auto industry crashed so more ppl probably left. The average income is around 44k a year. Where are thy getting two grand a weekend from?

....Erm... He was making an example Cody. He doesn't actually work @ a restaurant in bloomfield hills.. I'm pretty sure.
  • back on topic, hammertime cant compete with LOWER open teams in csgo.

i don't work at a restaurant, my job is a lot more complex, but if you have been to Bloomfield hills, there are houses probably 3-4 times as big as a "normal" house there are plenty of steak house restaurants where the average plate is 60+ not including drinks, places include tips in the bill automatically too, so yes it is very possible, most of the people that live there are not even affiliated with the car industry and if they are, they have white collar jobs.

Talking about his friends that apparently make 2grand in a weekend. Servers minimum wage in MI is only 4.75. Even with steaks being 60$ If one person goes in and gets it at 60$ and they leave a 15% tip they only get 9.00$. Now unless this place is huge and has parties there (which i never heard of a party at a steakhouse) there's no way. And I have been there. The houses are big, but the majority of ppl that live there have companies that are world known. Even then there is no way a server makes 2grand lol.

The only way a server gets the real minimum wage of 7.40 there is to work 4hrs and not get tipped at all. Which if u work 4hrs and not getting a tip u blow lol.
  • I let hammertime abuse me.

okay one plate is 60 dollars, break it down, let's just say couples no friends or w.e. so 2 people x 60 excluding drinks/appetizers/desserts etc, roughly 120, average amount of tables one can do at a busy restaurant is roughly 7-9 multiply .15 by 120 by 8 tables, by 16 hours weekly, well over 2K, and don't tell me restaurants are not capable of doing 7-9 tables an hour, because it is especially possible at high end restaurants that are pretty big such as

j alexanders, the lark, other restaurants in the area such as the melting pot, in troy, mortons steak house, these places bring quite a bit of people, parking lots packed for most of the night, these are just a few off the top of my head, there are plenty of places around the area on woodward/royal oak/Birmingham etc.
