HTTP Re-Direct
URL/HTTP Forwarding (Changing Location)
Notice each subforum has a randomly generated URL.
It looks a little something like this:
/forumdisplay.php?f=7 (Announcements)
/forumdisplay.php?f=10 (Barracks)
/forumdisplay.php?f=51 (Off-Topic)
All I recommend is actually forwarding the URLs to a more simple address.. For say, announcements could lead to: http://z8games.com/announcements. Same for Barracks, Off-Topic, etc. Would be easier to remember.

or you can just go to the main forum page and use your mouse, awful suggestion
You fail to amaze me, I did suppose I'd see something related to that from you. Doesn't matter, I've practically mastered how Z8 does their HTTP (I say that, but it's all done for them... Lazy Canadians, just like Bawb). -

Why you hating on Canadians :C
Anyways, +1. Forums would be easier to use. -
for no benefit at all, far as i can tell
HTTP is as simple a language as it gets to master, so no real props there.
urls to new subsections are assigned by php code though, and its not "z8games" code.
I know it's not Z8's code, don't know why I said that (Bear with me... It's been a long day)
As far as the benefit - It's minor, but only takes a bit to do, and would be much faster, rather than clicking through a bunch of sub-topics. -

you talk about laziness yet you are the person who doesn't want to use their mouse to click on a sub forum, HAHAHA just an awful response from an awful individual,
facepalm -
This feature is normally built into all decent forum software including vBulletin. The main reason (that I know of) that many administrators choose not to make the urls human-readable is maintenance. The main issue with it is name collisions. How many subforums would there be called announcements, suggestions, or off topic? The answer is more than one. You can make the names longer or add parent directories into the url to fix that problem but at this point the benefits are mostly gone. Lastly, name changes happen sometimes and it is just one more thing to do when you want to change it again.

sorry i'm seeing no benefit from this at all
you want to be able to type H T T P : / / F O R U M . Z 8 G A M E S . C O M / BARRACKS
instead of clicking "barracks" on the forum main?
why don't you just favorite the barracks section and type "bar" in the address field when you want to go there? -

The power of stopping automatic-parsing with
Anyways, why not, there may be no benefit, but there's no downside. -

(also spacing was intentional to highlight to extra effort that for some reason would result in less effort.
your coding prowess is very impressive though.) -
Hey look, it's me!
I've noticed that other forums, when a thread is created, it takes on the thread title's name, so it'd be /forum/this-is-th...-chicken#34342/. I'm not sure how or why this Forum is different, but I don't find it to be a problem, or an organizational issue. As long as I know that http://forum.z8games.com leads to the Forums, then it's acceptable to me.
