1 day frostgaming cups
Would people be interested in playing if Frost Gaming decided to host cups except this time with someone actually being able to run it? (not doop)
Of course prizes would be involved, I was thinking cash for the 5 members of each team but headsets/mice can be negotiated. Thoughts?

Seems like a good idea, we'll be making a decision on this after our teams are back from China.
If we were to do this, we'd need a sufficient amount of teams to play the cup otherwise we wouldn't be able to give out high value prizes. (More competition, higher the prize.)
I wouldn't give out ZP prizes unless it is prefered. ($$$ would be my first choice.)
If you/your team will be playing if these cups are to run, please notify us via a forum post / PM. More teams there is the more likely we are to start it or the higher the prizes will be. -

Is this going to happen again? -

I don't blame the failure of the tournament on doop, he had his own priorities at the time and they were more important than the tournament and by the time we realized he was not going to manage it anymore there was no teams left to continue the tournament. (hence 1 day tournaments, longer it goes on the less likely the teams who signed up are going to exist.) -
We abandoned the tournament due to the fact more than 80% of the teams that signed up no longer existed. There was also no communication between the company and Doop which caused alot of issues that couldn't be solved same day (even same week)

Why dont you and slaya just host a frost gaming league?
From me talking to teams the past few days they want a LEAGUE.
At least 10 weeks long, bandicam is fine, with an entry fee.
You've already got a site that can most likely have a schedule tab, league news, ect ect. -

Leagues aren't easy to make (if you want to make them good)
I wouldn't use bandican for a league, I'd have someone code an AC/site.
The current site COULD be used for a league, but isn't made to in an easy way. (Automation would make it easier for match results to update, adding it all manually would be painful, by the time the 1,000th match was played we would have no fingers left)
I could make it happen easily, but the question is if the time/money put into it is worth it.
Let me give you an idea of the costs;
-AntiCheat coder (C++/C+/C# proficient) ($23.50/hr)
-Website coder (PHP/MySQL/HTML) (to syncronize the anticheat desktop client with the website) ($19.10/hr)
Atleast 100 hours of work total to complete it and get it running, not including updates, bug fixes, etc. (Total of $2,300 + $1,900 = $4,200)
You can find cheaper coders, most freelance without any decent resume. If you want something coded right you usually have to pay a good amount of money.
Prizes would have to be determined, let us say we would give out a $1,000 prize for 1st place, $500 for 2nd and $250 for 3rd each season. ($1,750 total)
Just to start up with the 1st season a total of around $6,000. without bug fixes, anticheat updates, anything else.) -

If there were enough teams interested it would be considerable. I was thinking $10 per player entry fee including subs. Need more feedback though.
