Improve
At the lucky strikes party my team mates and I and also a few players of LPK had a serious discussion with either the head of smile gate or someone who had a lot of pull in smile gate I can't remember, I drunk a little too much that night.
But the discussion was his idea for the game and the competitive side of crossfire, he wanted the type of competition that was so serious and high level that the clutches that happened at LAN would not be even remotely possible, let alone happen so many rounds consecutively.
I and everyone talking to him agreed that yea WCG was cool but so many people play the game and there are so many below average teams it is ridiculous and it is the same teams being remade and falling apart and also the same people who continuously play, quit and play with little to no improvement what so, ever it is honestly sad.
Yes there are a few players who have the drive to improve themselves and they have done just
For example mykl, now annoying or not he is one of this game’s top players he just needs a little more maturity and work on a few kinks he has he would be a great addition to any team I was honestly sad to see him not going to LAN.
I'm going to beat this dead horse to get my point across but as I use mykl as an example you have to remember as he started several months ago he wasn't close to the caliber of player he is now I was on a team with him for a while and I see his strive for excellence his drive to get better and he improved in such a short amount of time.
I was glad to see players like him were still around but then on the other hand sad there weren't as many players like him.
I also know he is not the only one who is like that, but I know him from experience so I used him as an example.
Now I know people think or thought which ever; that Jeden was one of the teams who quit remake quit remake but if you honestly look at it over all the remakes the team has gotten so much better with the team and individual game play.
With all that said what the game needs are players who want to get better, players and teams in this game believe “since there are no leagues I don’t need to practice or get better” which of course are there right, but with attitudes like that the game will only go so far competitively.
If you take HRG as another example they practice between 3-6hrs a day before there was any promises of wcg, esg, wogl… they did it to get better, they dedicated themselves to the improvement of their gameplay.
And with the mini tourneys’ we had it helped them solidify their strength as a team.
And when wcg came around the corner they didn’t have to practice 24/7 they already had there set ups and everything down.
I understand people have things to do works, school women, that’s all true but most of the people who complain about no leagues and nothing to keep playing this game for are the no lifers who are on pubbing making random teams and pugging/ ringing, its trash honestly.
The good players left for 3 main reasons, no leagues, no time to play or the main reason there are NO GOOD TEAMS TO PLAY , I mean fine there’s no leagues out but the right to brag about your team being better than someone else’s team is still not that bad.
Lots of players don’t want to get on and play the same subpar teams or players it’s boring I would rather watch paint dry.
And lets say HT, HRG or LPK do get on for one scrim there not gonna play the sucky teams there gonna play each other once maybe twice and that’s it for the week for some of them.
It’s a cycle.
Less and less people play because of that 15 ass teams and 3 good ones.
That’s **** and leagues actually notice that and what’s the point of that?
it’s not entertaining it’s not fun that’s why we aren’t getting any new publicity and no new tourneys, thanks god over 5 million people play in china or we might not have wcg, actually thank god other versions of the game actually aren’t so lazy that they actually use the time there playing to improve themselves, which in the end is improving the game.
Now a little fact about old NA crossfire when the leagues we had first came around it was a new game so yes they tried it out for a while, that’s the reason we had wogl, csn and the older leagues before not because there were so many die hard crossfire players or even because they were amazing because if you watch the teams that played back then they wouldn’t be sht now because everyone sucked back then except a select few, and the top players back then were less sucky compared to everyone else.
So the only differences between the old and new crossfire players are more of them are too lazy to improve themselves.
Returning to the clan disbanding and remaking…
I understand things don’t work out so you want to start over, I understand because I used to do it as well, but to make the team with the same people is counterproductive.
But to understand what it is to make a great team and keep it isn’t the players it’s the dedication and the patience, even though a stacked team isn’t bad either.
I’ll go into more detail about team running and leading in another post just hopefully people aren’t to full of themselves to read it.
All I will say for now is no team started amazing, i.e. Hammer time and HRG, they had months and months and hours and hours of practice to get where they are today.
I write this because of the conversation we had that night, I’m not trying to insult anyone I’m not trying to argue with anyone I just want to see this game grow into the game to play no just for wcg or wogl or w.e but because it is just better competitively in scrims w.e it is I just want it to be improve.
People of crossfire there is always room for improvement.

Reason to better.
1. Not to suck.
2. Less looking like you suck.
3. If you are going to do something for so long its preferred not to suck.
4. More winning.
5.Bragging rights.
6.WCG.
7.Its fun to win.
8.Its not fun to lose.
9.Higher self esteem.
10. People like you more when you don't suck.
11.Higher self esteem brings more confidence.
12. People like confident people.
13. Women like confident guys.
14. If women like you more chances of them puttin out.
15.Be a top team(in theory).
16. People would play more because there are more good teams.
17. More people would make more teams.
18. More good teams makes others want to be good.
19. More competition.
20. More teams means more leagues. -
couldn't really read the whole thing but I got the gist of it. You can't expect people to improve (as individuals or as teams) without competition...CF just went through WCG qualifiers ect so players will be scrimming and practicing now, but 2-3 months from now they'll all stop caring again since there's no leagues. I'm not saying anything new you all already know this.
edit: you really gotta clean your posts up (being black is not an excuse lol) -

Are you kidding me what does being black have to do with anything, stop being ignorant. Its a post you got the gist then whats the point of your comment. Yes, leagues give people drive to improve but if they only wait for leagues to come out they will only be practicing for the leagues not to get better. So yes they will play slightly better for a few weeks till the league is done, but what about after that.. I want to play leagues against great teams and when there aren't any leagues I still wanna scrim those same great teams. I 'm looking for a perm solution for some of the problems with the game and your coming at me with some non sense. Thanks
oh lord, I hope you know the black thing was a joke.
as to the rest of your post...what?
I don't know how to explain this to you tbh, when there is competition (leagues, tourneys, ...) players have a reason to play/practice in order to compete and eventually become "good" I couldn't readlly understand what you just wrote, you don't want leagues but want players to spontaneously become good?
anyways it's all good -

Yes, the stereotype of dumb colored folks being thrown at me is funny.
I want all the leagues we can get, But I am saying that that there aren't going to be an infinite amount of leagues so on the off season I still want people to not suck. The games average skill level is like a 7 out of 20 honestly, and I know HT and the other top teams can get on from a month break and still play at least at a 14. I want the average of skill to improve when that happens sure no need to practice till leagues are out but if your on 7 hours a day and your scrim skill is a at 7 out of 20.. that's just rubbish -
The problem is Crossfire is more of a casual game to many people. Also most players are too impatient and think playing scrims all the time is practice. Don't even bother to ask them to watch a couple replays or their own bandicam POVs.
This is why I made my own team because my goal is to be #1. -
People don't like to play serious, because of a fear of failure.
Why play serious if you will fail?
It takes quite the determination to play through that.
When LPK was first made in July 2010, snsd/devious/LifeLine 18-0'd us several times. I don't mean we lost the scrim badly; I mean legitimate 18-0's. It would take several days of getting stomped repeatedly before we even won halves. After a few more days we would win maps. Luckily at the time it was a much slower paced schedule (1 map a week).
To deal with embarrassment like that you need to have a team of 5 motivated individuals. From the LAN I took that you are such a team, but you must keep in mind not everyone is as motivated as you/hrg/ht.
Before teams can even improve it comes down to individual players. As an individual you need to make sure you are spot on with your calls, warming up and death matching enough to keep your aim at an acceptable level, and review every situation in-game to make the best play.
My self personally for WCG I should of death matched and FFA'd much more leading up to the LAN. My aim/in-game mechanics was no where close to that of Jeden/HRG/HT. It is actually one of the main reasons of my inconsistency.
In my opinion the solution to the league problem is a z8games ran league. Some of the other versions have the distributor ran leagues. cfvn is a good example.
In my mind it should look something like this:
Break it up between NA and UK servers.
Divisions based on timezones (west/cent, east, uk)
Buy ZP Ticket (Somewhere between $10-$20)
-I would prefer something like $25 a season w/ Armor Voucher (Was already deemed impossible before)
2 week Pre-Season (To get used to structure/format)
1 Map per week
Play each map at least once during regular season
Top 8 or 16 Teams go to double elimination playoff bracket
Rules: All characters, ZP guns, BP guns, crate guns, and character items allowed. ie: Any item goes.
I believe this open rule set would get the largest amount of player base. People are shunned away from "competitive" gaming based on the gun/character they use. People may not remember this, but the competitive community was loaded with scarlights and spops at one point in time. -
I don't know what you expect from people. Not everyone wants to play everyday... You said HRG played 3-6 hours a day, they played great, but look how much time they spent on the game. Was it worth it in the long run? They said it was a cool experience, but there is so much more to do in life then play crossfire.
-
My take on improving:
practice
practice
practice,
and did I mention practice?
for example, I believe I read that Michael Jordan would take a few hours a day of JUST shooting baskets. If your dedicated and practice, the skies the limit.
However, I also think people need something to practice for.
tldr; leagues/tournaments regularly will force competitiveness which in turn will lead to more teams practicing and improving which in turn will lead to a better scene overall -

We played about an hour and a half to three hours max each night. Not sure where theses numbers are coming from. -
I actually read the entire post and my response is as follows: I used/tried to play competitively but the attitude of the community was what drove me away. I mean every team out there acted like teenage girls. Even trio and lifeline (top teams imo at the time) couldn't show an ounce of humility. Everyone that killed you was a "tryhard" or a "baddie."
half of the teams were almost entirely ringers and the game would only last for 1 half. Even my own teammates acted like children. For me, all i wanted was to play some competitive cf but everytime i e8 it was like babysitting some kids.
I plan to return to cf in the xmas break and Im thinking about giving competitive another shot. On your note about the 3 core issues with competitive cf, I respectfully disagree in that I think that the problem with the competitive community is much deeper than what you described. What has happened is that new players can not join the community without being ridiculed by the veterans. Thats why you see the same players in different teams on a different day. If the community acted a little more maturely than the competition can grow and the community will benefit. -

I dont want to say any names, Im sure they are lurking around on the forums somewhere. Dont want to start drama.
But clear your schedule for december. If your not part of a team by then, then lets try to get the old crew back 2gether. DesiBoys any1? -

It's not drama and it's not really about me not knowing when to stop talking. It's about me winning the argument every time. Don't pretend like you would stand a chance in an argument with me xo -
