How do i fix this?

Hello,

i've just downloaded and installed the new client of CrossFire, when i click on "start" and some HGW page is loading, i get an error messege under "HGWC" that says "File is changed : W[2007] L[0] Crossfire.exe"

ANd yeah, the game won't start..i have no anti-virus or firewall on, all system requirements are ok.

Anyone smart enough got the solution?

this problem was common like 2 days ago did you close your AV and all that before you downloaded it ? or after in this case you can always try to redownload it and reinstall it but i remember there was a thread about this i will find it again and send you the link i think it might help you too

though the issue you got was mainly due to the AV scans in the folders when they were removing some important files from it... did your AV scan was disabled to ?

yes, i have no anti-virus installed. I use XP, maybe microsoft put an anti-virus or firewall into installation program?

Other fps online games run just ok...just CF gives me this problem...

I opened the FWatcher folder, and it said this on a txt. file : 09:01:49 [Error] it is different crc : file [crossfire.exe]

reinstall if its a file watcher error if it still continues try downloading from another mirror, i would help you more but my computer is dead so i might get a similar error when i redownload cf so i will find a solution if it still persists and you have not found one
