We should be ashamed of ourselves.....

There is practically no reason to non-stop troll/flame/express you're anger and dislikes towards others like this that results into things happening like this....

The Competitive community has turned into a pile of disappointment and it's not because of Polleus or anyone. Why do you people blame it on someone that did nothing but good for the community? He tried. And that's that. He didn't bail out and lie. We are the ones to blame. Who on earth can deal with the amount of negativity that we produce? No one. Not WOGL, not ESL, and certainly ESG is not going through the same thing after what all the other league organizers went through. I seriously do not see the point in making pointless/mindless posts targeted towards individuals for no logical reason. It just makes things turn out like this.....

I hope after this in the future, the community can have a change. Whether it's stopping certain people from creating such foolish actions, to completely enforcing stricter rules or to completely block out certain individuals. So be it. I think MODS/GMs or anyone that cares can understand.

Note I am probably going to get major trolled by certain people and certain groups, but so be it. I'm just expressing myself from MY dissapointment and from MY point of view.....and most importantly the correct philosophy in this community.

Most communities act this way. It is just way more noticeable because our numbers are so low.

Take a peak at hltv/cadred/esea.

You will see plenty of the same thing.

Anyways, at the Polleus being a mall cop....Has anyone seen paul blart? he took on ninjas by himself. So hes like the mod of the mall, banning those ninjas that were chasing him.

tl;dr Polleus=Kicks Ass AND chews bubble gum.

The competitive community started being like this after the first season of WOGL - no one knows. I remember good sportsmanship and everyone (mostly) being friends despite being in another team; even the scrims were fun.

After that, just went lower and lower each day with people talking smack and eventually becoming idiots - in the end made players give up on the game and even respected leagues drop the game.

There's a limit.

Yeah but the ratio of trolls to sincere people on these forums is like 3:1.

Normally it'd be like 1:3 for gaming forums, and there are other types of forums where there are virtually no trolls.

i think the ratio is way more egregious for the competitive subforum. i just read their threads for entertainment. 95% just people flaming each other.

would it help if non-comps started posting friendly content in the competitive forum? lol.
