[CSN] Update 09/20
Tournament Page: http://cyber-sports.net/event/battlenight
Some updates;
Some updates;
- Rounds per half have been changed to 7 instead of 9.
- The schedule has been updated because of the round change.
- The team seeding/brackets will be entirely randomized.
- The anti-cheat client has been released and can be downloaded from the rules page. Make sure to test the anti-cheat before the tournament, and allow it through any firewall or anti-virus software.
- The check in time is from 5:00 to 6:40 PM EDT: Captains will need to press the check in button on the tournament page during this time. Checking in will ensure that your team has a spot in the tournament, and if you wait too long you may lose your spot.
- All wait list teams will have a chance to check in from 6:10 to 6:40 PM EDT. If you want a spot in the tournament you need to be ready and make sure to check in as soon as possible.
- Each round of the tournament will last 40 minutes, 35 minutes for a match and an extra 5 minutes for setting up. In between each round there will be 5 minutes that can be used for whatever is needed. Best of 3 rounds will last longer, as per the schedule.
- You can change your time zone in your profile settings, and this will update the schedule and times on the tournament page to make things easier.
- The brackets will be released around 6:50 PM EDT. A button will appear on the tournament page that says “Brackets”. You click this button, click on your match, and you can use the private match comm’s located inside to communicate with the other team.

Alright, so I downloaded and installed the AC. Added Metrex to Firewall exceptions to Norton 360. I logged onto it with my csn info and that went fine. I get on the game and after a while I get this:
So this means Metrex offshoots another exe of some kind from within the program? Anyway, I don't know if everyone will be able to figure this part out if that happens with every AV program, since the appdata folder is hidden by default. You should let people know how to add hound.exe to their exception list as well. -
Hello there. I'm the Metrex programmer. Metrex and Hound work hand in hand. In the interest of using the most recent build of Hound (which I update very frequently), it is downloaded when you start using a game Metrex is designed to look at and then is executed.
Between the two, Hound is a program that does additional work to look for cheating behavior, but it looks as though Norton blocked it for having very few users and being very new. I have put in a ticket with Symantec (Norton's developer) to whitelist each of the programs though. Thanks for the heads up! -

Just a refresher for everyone!
- The anti-cheat has been released and is available on the rules page.
- All players need to have their Cross Fire IGN in their CSN profile. Contact me to make any changes.
- Teams marked with "Not checked in" can click the check-in button anytime between 5:00-6:40 PM EDT. It is recommended for captains to come early and check-in as soon as possible.
- Teams marked with "Waitlisted" can check-in between 6:10-6:40 PM EDT. First come first serve, so be ready.
- Rounds per half have been changed to 7 instead of 9. Make sure this is noted.
- Match brackets will be released up to 10 minutes before the tournament starts. A button will appear on the tournament page that says “Brackets”. You click this button, click on your match, and you can use the private match comm’s located inside to communicate with the other team.

Why are brackets released 10 minutes before the game?

The system works by allowing teams to check-in up to a certain point. After the check-in period is over the admins can randomly or manually seed the active teams, and after this the brackets are generated. The system eliminates most bye/forfeit wins.Probably so there won't be a dozen BYEs like in every other tournament
Yes, pretty much sums it up.
