CF X-mas Carnival / Free 7 day Thomson and Winchester

Let me start off by saying,WOW thank you for letting me try these guns before even attempting to even try to get them.

IMO those guns should NOT be in the BM.

Thom(p)son - Low damage,high rate of fire,many bullets,close-mid range.
Winchester - 2 shot kill close range,Slow rate of fire, mid range only does 40-50 dmg a bullet.

I went in to many games with these guns coming out with 1-6,5-11,and 7-23.
I usually get the common high k/d,but wow.

So,this is just a warning to you ZP,GP spenders who want those guns, they are horrid.

  • Winchester does suck, but Tommy is a beast. Idk what was up with you. Make sure you spray with it.

ouch i can get like a 3.0 in egypt with my tommy gun. and winchester is a beast in ghost mode other than that it fails. i thought the winchester was a rifle but they made it like a shot gun, it least in the description in-game it says its a rifle.
  • thompson is very very good, i havent tried winchester practically any so cant say
every gun is bad the first few times you use it
  • Both of them are terrible and I too am glad I found out this way rather than spending GP on the crates.

The Thompson fires all over the place EXCEPT there where you are aiming your crosshair at. So killing anyone with it isn't because your aim was good, but because your opponent was unlucky enough to dodge straight into a stray bullet. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The Thompson has "Spray & Pray" written all over it.

The Winchester is a shotgun with bullets instead of buckshot shells. Only usable at mid range. At long range, its power is practically 0, and at close range its firing rate is too slow to be useful.

huh tommy gun ownz bro just practice. its better than the kriss in my opinion because i have both and i use my thompson more.
  • I like the thompson, Havent tried the winchester though.

I agree and disagree. It does have pretty bad accuracy and recoil. However, it's still controllable. Controllable enough that, everytime I join a Ship with a guy who has tommy gun, I see him getting ultra kills without a problem.

I'm not your bro, I'm not even a man. And I had all the practice I cared for and I'm sticking to my original verdict. IT SUCKS MONKEY BALLZ! I rather have a weapon that is accurate.

Its like a powered-down M60. It takes no skill to get unbreakables with a powered-down M60 on the Ship map. You simple hold you mouse button down an run to their spawn as fast as you can. There is no room to dodge its bullets on the Ship map. If you want to know how much it really sucks, take it on to the Monaco map.

I know it takes no skill, but it's good. And Monaco is mostly a long-range map, which totally defeats the purpose of an SMG. Of course Thompson sucks there (unless your spawn killing).
  • I bought over 250 crates for the Winchester/Thomson....and got diddly-squat..
I am very dissapointed and I lost a lot of ZP to that. It's still my fault but it feels like a major let down....I really liked the gift thing of getting the guns for 7 days..then at least I can see what they are like before I give up all hope of ever getting the gun of my dreams.....
Oh well...I never really liked the Black Market >:P

If I want a good SMG, I'll either stick to the MP5, ot get the G36K. (yes, Captain Obvious. I know that this is a rifle)

Just burst on neck area with thomson and you'll get lots of headshots. It's also beast in GM because of its fast RoF. Jump + Little aim + lots of spray = pwnage with thomson.
But I gotta agree on the winchester. Horrible.
