i played top uk css level and was able to keep up after no less than a week or two before the people i played with (all source players with LAN exp) quit playing the game for csgo. -

You can't hold angles or stand still for sh1t if your playing against a good team, before you even see them you're dead.
Cod or any CS game, You can hold angles, and it does require somewhat of reaction time.
