Cookz and I tested this out.
It's just stretched out to fit the monitor.
Also, I don't know if this has been pointed out or not, but when someone else or you scope in with a sniper rifle, the zoom doesn't go away until the whole game ends.
The "scope graphic" does, however. -

Again, good job on the resolution, but can't they fix the scope bug in the snipers? That problem was on the 1920x1080res 2-3 years ago...OMG the widescreen is fail i had before this patch 1680x1050 now sucks ! -.-

Take note of this. Crossfire is a modern, fast paced shooter. Its gameplay stye does not lend itself to heavy explosive weapons, and they will not be added. Crossfire is also not a sci-fi shooter. We will not see plasma guns or lasers in the game. So, please consider this before you post. Thanks.
Also, STOP BEGGING FOR THE BARRETT. As of now, the devs don't plan on putting it in our version, and unless something changes over there it's not coming to NACF. Stop posting about it.
