How to awm
I posted this in the CrossFire Barracks on somebody's thread and I figured hey, this might help some people out, because I'm pretty good at sniping.
HOW TO AWM:
1. Get an AWM. Got it? Roger that.
2. Never stand in front of an enemy with your AWM, they won't wait for you to aim at them.
3. If you can, jump around corners, crouch, and scope (all within about a second) because this usually can catch people off-guard. It's kinda hard to explain, but I do it a lot.
4. A lot of the time AWMing is all about reaction speed. Practice by having a friend stand behind a corner of a box or something, aim slightly to the side of the box, and tell them to run/jump out from behind the box and shoot them. A lot of AWM kills happen like that.
5. Practice flick shots. Flick shots are when, say, you zoom in and someone is right to the left of your crosshair. You execute a hyper-advanced "flick" motion (lol) with your wrist to the left and shoot at the same time, hopefully hitting them. It's another thing that is hard to explain.
6. If someone is right in front of you, don't bother to zoom in. Just pretend you have a crosshair and shoot them. It's this crazy thing called a no-scope.
7. Once again, don't stand still. Move around all the time EXCEPT when you're shooting. You only need to stand still for a split second for the shot to be 100% accurate, so practice strafing, then stopping and zooming in at the same time.
8. If someone is getting too close for comfort, whip out your deagle. Aim at head level and JUAN-DEAG them. It's pretty easy once you get used to it. If you don't have a desert eagle, I recommend it as a sniper's secondary weapon.
9. A good way to maximize your kills and hopefully minimize you getting instantaneously owned is by being really annoying. To do this, pop out around a corner and stop running, and zoom in at the same time, shoot, then pop out of view again. This takes a lot of practice to get good at. One of the many things about sniping that is hard to explain.
Anyway, I hope this helps, coming from a pretty good sniper (I think...).

This guide was the bomb, im planning to buy a AWM on one of my accounts, and....i have a MP5/P228 in bag 2 for backup if it's getting hot
but
why deagle, deagle is for those who have zps, you can recommend a P228, is a nice pistol, i own in alaska with a AWM/P228 combo -
I prefer to quick scope. Also, if you came around a corner running, then immediately crouch then jump back up for a dropshot it normally screwes up someones aim really bad.
Your example of flicking is wrong, that is painting, not flicking.
Flicking is when you flick out your kife/pistol right ofter you fire then go right back to awm. -

Im pretty sure that the flicking your talking about is Quick Switching, Used so you don't zoom back in after every shot.
But yeah i agree with you, i'd rather quick scope than no scope, a lot easier to hit targets. -
AWM is not the proest gun... by a long shot..
I saw som1 go 28 - 1 in a ffa sniper with an M700, that is much more impressive than going 28 - 1 with an AWM as its 1hit kill.
With the m700 you can snipe while moving and generally its 1 hit kill and if not you move fast enough to snipe again...
Also i understand this guide but it is for beginners rarther than experienced players...
To get to the next level you need to incorperate bunny hops and just general knowlage of the map and mode you are playing on...

You can stay still for your first shot if there's only one (easy) way to get to you.
Quickscope . I'm no good at it but I've done it a few times in close range.
TIP: If you have no pistol and someone's coming for you hide around the corner and when he's coming around the corner NOSCOPE HIS ASS! . It might or might not work depending on your luck and if you know that you can't snipe for beans that close with a scope.
Also, bunnyhopping generally makes you an easy target at long range when you're just about to land, as that's the point where you're least mobile. More useful at medium range, though this is just my opinion.
Noscoping is so very funny when you manage to pull it off and the other guy goes "wtf?". Or noscoping halfway across the map. I've done that once on accident. I had a o.O look on my face. -
Learn to quickzoom. Also, if you're going to be moving with the AWM, you need to shoot a little to the opposite way you're moving.
Ex.
Moving ->
.................[Target]
.................[Target]
......[Shoot].[Target]
.................[Target]
If you're moving back or forward, there's no need.
As I've stated earlier, quickzooming is the best way to snipe; if you know how, of course. -

I don't know if they patched this up or not, but there is this jump technique called the counter jump. It's when you strafe and jump (to the left or the right) and then hold the opposite strafe button(example: you first hold D, then jump, then hold A), then let go of ALL keys. This should make you fall straight down when you get about halfway of a regular jump. This can be used to jump around corners and surprise the enemy b/c they expect you to land farther. Then you can make any shot you need like an awm shot. This is kinda situational though, and they might have patched it up idk. lol i hoped this helped.
